Has anybody else gotten some personalized cola bottles from the sponsors? I mean, they are clearly meant for me, but my name is misspelled on a few of them, and then... there's this one.

[Simon turns it toward the camera: it has the infamous "you tried" star... with Simon's face on it.]

I got a gold star for... what? Dissecting sentient creatures? Playing my part like a good television star? Being myself? Did I fail at whatever I tried to do?

[[OOC NOTE: This was just a fun idea I had- in the vein of Share A Coke bottles, the sponsors have decided to gift Fleet members with their own personalized bottles of soda. Except their names won't necessarily be spelled correctly, or the soda will have weird flavors, or be loaded with caffiene- be creative!]]

It works well enough as normal shampoo, at least. I am not sure I want to grow a beard to play to the audience's whims anyway.

I don't even want to speculate- they may be listening in for ideas.

Not as weird as you may think- I'm from 2517, so I can attest to that fact.

It is a bit sugary for my tastes, but it has been fairly good so far.

Indeed- I am finding I am from much further along than most people I have spoken to.

[He smiles.]

Space travel is much more common, for one- rather like it is here. Some people stay planetside for their entire lives, though many more travel planet to planet. Also, humans no longer live on Earth.

So what about you, if you don't mind my pryin'? Space, or planetside?

That seems to be the norm, yes, give or take a few decades.

[He smiles.]

I stayed planetside for a while, but I decided to go traveling a few years after I became a doctor. I wanted to see a bit more of the universe beyond my home planet, and I was able to bring some medical aid to planets that did not have regular access to a doctor.

[The story comes easily from his lips- it's not exactly a lie, even if it's not the whole truth, but it is close enough.]

How long does it take you to get around?

Depends on where we are going. I rode with a cargo transport ship, so depending on where their next job was or where they had to deliver a cargo, we could be in the air anywhere from a few days to more than a week, barring pit stops for supplies and making contact with others.
