Who: SS Red Fish crew
Broadcast: nup
Action: yurp. It's a crew mingle!
When: Today/forward-dated according to preference.
[Holy smokes, Red Fish had four people now! They're almost finished forming a five man band. Who's gonna be the leader? Who's gonna be the lancer? If Hange is the leader, is Zhas the lancer? Wait, obviously Zhas is The Big Guy. So Coil is The Smart Guy? Does Nunnally have to be the chick? No way, Nunnally. We believe in you. You're way too useful to be the chick. UwU ♥ ]

he points at the measly treadmill and spells out a word, complete with one of those drawn question marks at the end]
'A-L-L-?'
no subject
Yup. I'm afraid that's it. [She shrugs.]

the sign might not be one that she knows explicitly, but it's clearly one of distaste--a flat hand set on his mouth and then flicked away. he clearly doesn't like it.]

he gets an idea, but he stalls over trying to figure out how to ask it.
eventually, he opts for charades. he mimes holding something in font of him, almost like one would hold into the handles of a bike. but then he keeps his fingers in that shape and draws his hands out to the side, showing that whatever it is is very long. he ends with as far as his arms can extend out to the sides, showing with flat hands that it ends at that length on either side.
and then a question mark sign and he points around curiously. as if asking if she's got anything like what he demonstrated lying around]

A staff user, huh?

for the next question, he mimes punching, and then holds his hands up to draw a shape hanging in font of him]

he spells a word, but he goes slow since there are letters she doesn't know and he actually wants her to get this.
S looks like A but she should mostly know it. then comes three fingers held up that could easily be W, and then O. The fourth letter is a mystery, but the fifth could look like a lower-case D if she's already got the guess in her head. and he points at her questioningly.
she's a sword fighter, hmm?]
no subject
Anyway, she watches him closely and then her gaze goes opaque for a few seconds, as she mulls the signs over. Asking to confirm, as is usual from like three exchanges:]
My skillset?

and just to make sure, he also mimes swinging a sword. or a bat. or an axe, really--it's not a very sophisticated gesture.]

so, he shakes his head, because that's not what he wants. he makes a dismissive gesture over his shoulder, and instead points here, around at this room. this is all he cares about.
he points at her, makes the swordfight motion again, and points here. all followed up by a question mark]
no subject
Swords, here? Nope.
no subject
if there are no swords, he's wondering if she practices with something else here. he'd even settle for a lead pipe.]

he's just going to have to face Zhas without any training prep at all beforehand.]
no subject
Problem, kiddo?
no subject
his attention is totally focused on her now, at least.
and instead of trying to explain, he shakes his head]
no subject
Well, unless there's anything else I can help you with, I'll get back to it.
no subject
and he shakes his head, pretty sure that there isn't anything else he can get from her that would be helpful.
he'll just quietly lurk around this area until his partner shows up.]
