[UGH NO YOU KNOW WHAT, he frowns and stalks past her, crossing to one of the walls and pointedly starting to take off his jacket. he's going to work out in here after all. so there.]

2) he pulls out some rag from a pocket in his coat and quickly smears makeup off his face--something he does while carefully not making eye contact with Hange.]

[She gets hit in the face stops whistling... pulls his shirt off her face... and then stares in interest... at his tattoo. Sorry to say, she's seen abs that can stand up to Zhas'...

She's not shy or subtle about her stare either, but she doesn't say anything.]

but if she doesn't say anything, he won't give her a reason to. he cleans his face off like he's had a lot of practice, knowing through muscle memory where the weird spots are. there'll be some black still around his eyes, but it doesn't matter. he'll put more on soon anyway.

the cloth gets dropped on the floor when he's done, and he just... finds something vertical and structurally sound that he can use as a temporary pull-up bar. as long as he doesn't have to face Hange, he'll just start... doing reps, man.]

[You know... she chuckles to herself, wondering about that tattoo. A tat is more interesting than the washboard abs. More mysterious. Enough hard workouts can get you perfect abs, but tattoos have stories and reasons, at least sometimes.

But she's not actually a cruel person and she doesn't actually get super rewarded by just staring at him as he does stuff so she's... not going to leave, but going to go back to her own workout and leave him be.]

[well okay, he can (mostly) ignore her enough to go about his business, then. since he doesn't have the benefit of spontaneous parkour sessions and hand-to-hand combat, his exercise regiment is probably just as ridiculous as hers is.
