Bring the pringles, it's a mingle!
Who: SS Vanquish and whoever visits!
Broadcast: Noooope.
Action: SS Vanquish!
When: Any time during their stay on the blue planet!
[That's right, it's a ship mingle! While the crew of Vanquish have fun on the beach, or help the residents with rebuilding/the fungus problem, or shopping, or whatever strikes their fancy, they've still got to come back to the ship sometime!
As the rest of the crew return at points, they might find a growing collection of shells and little cups of sand and algae around the pilot's area. He'll organize it someday. Maybe.]

Yup, we do. An unfortunate part of being human. [He makes a little face as he glances toward where the kitchen is.] And protein's about all we got here, though I'm not sure if we have a choice about that.

That's too bad. We could use a little more room in here. [it's like being stuck in the back of Greg's van.
Wait a second.] Aren't there four other food groups?
[alllll the child rearing books she read emphasized how important those food groups are]

Haha, no. I get all the energy I need from my gem. It makes traveling a lot easier, comparatively speaking.
[even if she shuddered at the thought of eating]

But hey, don't worry too much about the space. It's not much now, but I'm working towards putting my starbucks to upgrading the ship. There's some people here who know how to add their own additions to their ships as well, so if I can get some input from them, I might be able to do something beyond the upgrades as well.

As for the other additions... I know there's at least one engineer here who likes to work on his ship and not only repair parts of it, but also make his own upgrades. His ship is awesome, so I was thinking of asking him about it all. I've had some engineering classes myself, so I could pull it off. [He presses against the spot between his eyes, lips forming in a slight pout as he thinks. Granted, his major wasn't in engineering, but he did pick it up pretty quickly due to the class being related to his interests.]

[Pearl wouldn't trust the personal upgrades very much anyway.]
I'd say scrap the ship and rebuild it from the ground up, but that's probably not very feasible, especially given the limits we have in terms of raw materials. [no Pearl don't do that] I could always use some help, however.
[sort of. At least with bigger projects, she could probably find tasks to keep you occupied.]

Even if we had the raw materials, there's still time. We never spend too long on one planet or waystation we come across. It'd really bite if we had to go, only to not have our ship ready. [He's... really not sure what would happen if they got left behind, but he can imagine that it wouldn't be good, especially since you're not supposed to go too far away from the Marsiva.]
But if I can help in any way, I'd be happy to do it! You're the one with the engineer augment, so you probably know more about the ship than I do. Just tell me what you need me to do when you want some work done and I'll do it! [He grins, completely trusting her ability here. There's some promise in the future of the ship after all!]

Oh, I did this sort of thing before arriving here. I suppose the augment helps in that I could understand their particular technology without taking it apart entirely. [even if it looks like she's well on her way to doing that.
She doesn't particularly like the augment, but she figures that it'll be gone next time she regenerates.]
