Bring the pringles, it's a mingle!
Who: SS Vanquish and whoever visits!
Broadcast: Noooope.
Action: SS Vanquish!
When: Any time during their stay on the blue planet!
[That's right, it's a ship mingle! While the crew of Vanquish have fun on the beach, or help the residents with rebuilding/the fungus problem, or shopping, or whatever strikes their fancy, they've still got to come back to the ship sometime!
As the rest of the crew return at points, they might find a growing collection of shells and little cups of sand and algae around the pilot's area. He'll organize it someday. Maybe.]

...but she could already tell that this was a very small ship. This was not the sort of thing she could completely hide, as much as she would... really like to.
Well. She wouldn't have to go into detail. At least, not at first.
She looks away for a moment and fights her feeling of shame and humiliated helplessness before gritting her jaw and looking back up at him, fight in her eyes.
She doesn't want to do this. She really doesn't want to do this. But keeping silent about it now would be close to lying, and she wouldn't lie about who she was - wouldn't keep silent about it, if it meant keeping people safe. She'd managed to keep her powers secret in Luceti, but... the village was a whole lot bigger than this ship.
This was the right thing to do. That's why it sucked so much.]
It's not just what ya think. It's that you never know if people are dangerous. I'm dangerous.
[...way to be comforting and reassuring, Rogue. But she doesn't back down.] My skin is dangerous to people. If they touch it, they get hurt. I can't control it [a long pause before she forces herself to add on:] yet. So I wear gloves an' I keep my distance, but that's not gonna do any good if people get close an' slip up.

He glances away and rubs at his chin, his gaze on the wall, but he doesn't appear to be afraid, disgusted or anything. Just in thought, mostly.]
I see... In that case, I really am sorry, and it definitely won't happen again. [He looks back at her, though that pondering expression is still there.] Is there anything I can do? Right now I'm trying to purchase enough upgrades to get all of us separate rooms, so that ought to help out a bit. But do we need specific clothes or anything? Anything to make sure you're comfortable and safe with us.

...what?
[Rogue couldn't believe she'd actually heard him correctly. Not only did he not freak out, like any normal, sensible person, not only did he not ask in what way her skin was dangerous or even recoil, but he'd... he'd offered special clothes? For what - for him? For the crew?
So she would feel safe?
What?]
Sorry -- what?

I mean. Sorry, I know I don't know anything about this, but... You're on this ship with us, and you're my friend and my crew member. I'm the captain, right? So... I want you to feel safe with us, too.
[He can't imagine what it's like to have skin that's dangerous to other people. No way to hug people without being careful, always having to watch where you're touching... how does it feel to her, when she accidentally touches someone?]
Would certain kinds of clothes work? Or do we need something else?

Rogue let out a startled sound that was probably supposed to be a laugh, even if it had a hint of a sob. She actually took a half step backwards, in case the aura of Clay's kindness would reach out and somehow physically touch her, it was so big.]
Gawd. No. I mean. Y'all are fine. I cover up enough for any of ya. Just - try not ta get close in a tight space is all.
[Friend? How did that happen? A member or something already?
And Clay. Gawd. She just-- how did he--]
