out of one prison & into another
Who: Bucky & You
Broadcast: ?????
Action: From the Marsiva
When: 7/28
[Consciousness came slowly, like climbing out of a fog. Before he opened his eyes, he knew something was amiss; the familiar noises that accompanied him waking up were absent. There should be some sort of noise, be it the hiss of the cryostasis chamber, or the bumbling gait of the scientists that aided in mission preparations.
Nothing.
Blearily opening his eyes, he was startled if not perplexed. This wasn't right. His mission, he--
Head whipping around, his vision darted rapidly for the windows and all points of entry. No sign of anyone else around. Captain America- that had been his mission, but this was...impossible.
Getting off the cot, the joints of his bionic arm creaked as he pushed himself to stand. The large window caught his eye, the view of the stars impressive. They invoke some sort of feeling in him, though he's not sure exactly what.
The lack of any sort of life around is concerning, though not unwanted. Being alone is something of a treat, and the gentle hum of the station itself helped quell the noise in his brain for now. It also helps that he's got a basic comprehension of where he is, though it doesn't particularly calm him.
Despite the freedom to move about, he can't shake the feeling of being snared, like there is something he is missing just out of reach. While there is no one in the immediate area, they could be close, and he opens his mouth to speak.]
..Hello?
[The single word is slightly hoarse, scratching at his throat from disuse, but perhaps not unheard.]

..Hello?
[The single word is slightly hoarse, scratching at his throat from disuse, but perhaps not unheard.]

voice;
[Don't what? Don't want to? Don't know how? Don't want to fail? What even happens when you fail something like this? His blood runs cold as the thought of the cryotube pops up a bit unwillingly. No.
Not here..
Would they change what they didn't like? He's not sure how long he was caught in that train of thought before he jerks back to alertness again.]
I.. acknowledged, Misha.
voice;
Hey, don't worry. We're all in the same boat here. How do we do people, right? I mean, if you don't get something, people kinda like clueless, too, as long as you aren't a jackass about it.
What should I call you?
voice;
[Why is everyone asking him this question? It shouldn't bother him, it's just so they have a moniker.. So why does it make him feel wrong? Like something is lurking just outside of his peripheral, waiting for a moment of weakness.]
Asset is the most commonly used.
voice;
[ That's a pause. Her mind quickly cringes away from the idea. Whereas with Commander, it was a title that he'd claimed for himself and made his own. "Asset" is a descriptor for someone unnamed and it sounds to Misha like it isn't for anonymity's sake, but one of simply having nothing to himself. God, it sits wrong to just accept something like that. ]
Asset... Hm. Well, that could get kind of confusing considering the modern use of assets and how we're all kind of clambering to refill our empty lives with meaningless physical things. [ Beat. ] That was a joke. Rebuilding our assets. Uh. Anyway, could I maybe... call you Set or Seth or something? Or is that too presumptuous?
voice;
[It wasn't that he didn't have questions, but it would probably be best to figure them out on his own.
His frown deepens as she lists off potential names, none of which feel quite right. They're her names, so he shrugged it off.]
Whatever you think..
[Whatever she chose, he'd have to work to remember it properly, anyway.]
voice;
[ Not the best response, but she still doesn't feel right calling a human being an asset. Urgh. ]
What I think is that I'd rather you be comfortable than just saying yes for my sake.
voice;
[The idea of 'comfort' is foreign to him, so in the hopes that it's dropped, he merely agrees. Give people what they'd like and their guard drops.]
voice;
Okay. Hey, you mind calling me once you're shipped off the Marsiva? You'll get your own ship soon, and I said I'm going to help, so I will. That okay?
voice;
[He didn't understand fully how she intended to help, but he would let her if she wanted to. He still didn't detect any sort of threat with her.]
voice;
I'm only a pilot, so I'm not super-useful, but I have my ways, too.
voice;
Better than the augment he woke up with. Lab Support. What the hell was he supposed to do with that?]
...The Golden. Alright.
voice;
Excellent. You get a look around yet?
voice;
Yes.
voice;
voice;
[However, the view of space is calming, but fills him with a sense of unease. It's that feeling of insignificance.
He tilts his head in question, about to ask why, but decides quickly that he doesn't wish to know.]
It will be fine.
voice;
Is anyone else on there with you right now?
voice;
[He's seen Nux, but that doesn't mean he wants to be friendly with him. He would rather take advantage of the solitary before it's taken away from him.]
voice;
[ There's a lot of reasons someone like this could be avoiding other people, but she's a tiny bit worried it might be because of the person he's with, too. ]
voice;
[He doesn't know why he's omitting that detail out of any he's already given. Realistically, he's surpassed being a traitor for even revealing anything at all.
He's been told this place is different from back 'home', but really, that hasn't been proven yet... It could be a lie.]
