So does this sort of thing happen often here? I mean, I've been here for a little while, but not actually very long - long enough to know more about losses, I guess, except we probably shouldn't call them losses here, should we? That's what we called them in Paradisa, but I think that was because Paradisa made you lose things all the time anyway, and at least no one here has turned into a bearcat or anything silly like that, because that's what I'm used to seeing more than anything else. Or used to be used to seeing, I guess, since it feels like I haven't been in Paradisa for a really long time now, but I'm really not even sure how I'm supposed to measure how long it's been.
[ she inhales, holds her breath, and seems a little exasperated with herself. ]
