[ he cuts his eyes up, definitely glancing at someone off-screen and making a face that sort of says I have no idea what I'm supposed to be saying or doing right now, before he looks back to the communicator. ] Someone help the new guy out, here.

[ His tone is faintly amused, mostly at the very teenager attempt to intimidate, but he has a soft spot for kids, which is why after a moment he adds, ]

[ but the exasperation here isn't at him. it's at the situation, if anything else, and honestly? he's just kind of relieved that people seem willing to introduce levity into the situation at all. ]

[ Now that's something you don't really hear from a kid, and he's glad for audio, because he's frowning. But it doesn't show in his voice, which is a curious, ]

[ he's quiet for a moment, before giving a sigh that sounds awfully long-suffering. ]
