[Cheese has been here for three months now, and it's clear Atroma aren't about to get rid of him, so he has an important mission to carry out. He turns on the video feed at stares down at the camera, his face is serious. This is serious business. ]

Okay, everypony. I have a super duper absolutely utterly important question to ask all of you. I really, really need an answer from everypony. It's that important.

[He leans a little closer in, to show how REALLY IMPORTANT it is. ]

I need to you tell me when your birthdays are. I also accept dates of anniversaries or likewise important dates to you.

[He picks up a pencil from off camera, and sits poised, ready to write into a little notebook. His words are a little muffled when he speaks again on account of the pencil in his mouth. Earth pony problems.]

What if I like the amount of friends I have?

[He knows he's being difficult for the sake of being difficult but that's kinda what he's all about.]

If for some reason you feel you must celebrate the birthday of someone who ages very slowly, I would rather it be a small affair.

... And I am definitely making my own cake.

[He wouldn't like being forced upon FRIENDSHIP either, he gets it. He crosses over his chest with a forehoof. ]

[He can tell Cheese isn't going to give up. It takes a minute, maybe two, but Cheese has already earned something like begrudging tolerance and... yeah.

He tucks a bit of hair behind his ear.]

The last time I celebrated my birthday was a very long time ago. My sister was...

[He sighs.]

I still don't know if I want a party, but if Hiro is okay with it, then I suppose... it's all right.

[It really is better for him to just give in. It'll make his life indefinitely easier. ]

Awww, he'll be fine. [He will have zero choice. ]

And it'll be super small and super quiet, with only the guests you want.

[He fidgets with the hems of his sleeves. And then, firmly:]

I will tell you my birthday-- but you have to tell me yours!

[Wow, dude, that's cheating. Still, fairs fair. ]

Okay. You got a deal. [And because he genuinely likes Belth, he gets it without any pretence or fight. ]

November fourteenth.

Close to the harvest festival... [He straightens a little.] Mine is January 17th.

I will make you a cake, and you will be ruined on every other cake you will ever eat.

Harvest festival? I've never heard of that before.

[Still, he's writing down that date. ]

I am seriously looking forward to being spoiled for cakes for the rest of my natural life.

There is a lot of feasting and drinking involved in my world's numerous festivals. In late November, there are tables piled with food set up outside of cities. People are encouraged to share food and stories. The actual Harvest Festival is meant to honor fallen heroes, but there is feasting too. It's in September.

I am fairly sure the world is powered by ale at this point.

Huh, how about that. That's usually when we're getting our harvest in, but we store most of our food. We need it to last the winter.

[There are some downpoints to being a herbivorous society and access to decent food when its not really growing is one of those things. ]

We have cider, mostly. That's our go-to drink.

I think the Horde imports a lot of supplies. The main city is in a desert, so there isn't much difference between winter and summer. And Silvermoon, where I live, has a sort of permanent summer as well.

We ponies control our own weather, so it's a little different, I guess. We have desert communities, but they have their food imported, or they grow what they can where they can.
