[It took Nightingale a bit to get around to posting this, and she seems oddly nervous as she does. Still, as the feed comes on, she takes a deep breath.]

Hey. So, for anyone who doesn't know me, I'm Nightingale. I got here... a month or two ago? I guess, somewhere in there. But this is actually my second time doing this sort of thing- I'm now two worlds removed from home, which is fucking great. But it sounds like I'm not the only one like this. I'm starting to suspect there's more of us in that boat here than there are people who have never done this before.

So I wanted to just gather information. See how many of these different interdimensional hellholes there are. I know of two others that were... suspiciously similar to the place I was at before, so maybe there are more themes to these places I haven't figured out yet. And I've heard of a few more since I got here, so.. Yeah. I'd like to hear what those places were, why they told you you were there, what they made you do there... If you went back home then came here, or got taken here straight from there, and so on. Things like that. A record of these things might come in handy eventually, you know?

Well...you've already heard about Paradisa. And I've heard about a number of other places- Exsilium, the Court, Asgard, Aather...

I had really hoped there had only been one of those places.

Well- what would you like to know then?

Mm. I don't know much about those worlds, really. Maybe someone from them can fill you in. Though apparently people knew me..or version of me in the Court and Exsilium. I don't remember it though. [It's...weird to think about]

What was it like? What were you brought there for, and what did you have to do there?

It was a magic castle, very idyllic landscape with a town full of people not far away. If you were on the castle grounds, material wishes within reason could be granted. We weren't exactly expected to do anything openly, just do as we pleased.

However, it seemed that the castle itself was...alive, in some sense. We found evidence that it fed off the souls and emotions of people it captured. Anyone there had something important taken away from them- an item, an ability, a memory. Sometimes as if to make sure emotions ran high- the castle would...change the setting. Sometime the change would be a nice change in scenery, or very bizarre- and sometimes it'd be horrific and we'd have to fight for our lives.

Also it didn't help that the castle seemed to have a tendency to bring in violent people, so when the castle wasn't trying to murder us, people would try to murder each other.

That town full of people... They weren't people who were brought there, like you, were they?

[There's a pause.]

No, they were people once brought there like we were. But the castle had fed on them so for long they had been....drained dry. They were...essentially husks of whoever they used to be.

[But hey, bright side- free stuff?!?!?]

[There's a sigh there.]

A castle, with people who were like you, but a fundamental difference... It sounds similar to my place, but almost worse.

[You know, except for the regular repeated torture and murder that happened.]

Mm...

Apparently there were other castles in that world that also took people and fed on them- each one with different means. I almost wonder if our castles were in the same world.

[Fenris isn't much of a talker, but he's always glad to talk about how Exsilum was a Shit Hole, so: ]

Before I was brought here, I was kidnapped to place called Exsilium. It was a dark future of a planet called Earth. Me and my fellow captives were brought there by people called the Initiative, to battle against the United Earth. We were nothing more than conscripted soldiers to them.

Did they ever say how they brought you there?

That is what we were told, yes. I believe Exsilium was once the United Kingdom? It is not my home world, I know little of it.

Hm. We arrived on transport pads. They were also what we were sent to our missions upon. Exsilium's plan of battle against United Earth was to send us through time to the past in order to prevent the United Earth getting power.

... They had you time traveling? What were these missions like?

They varied. Some required actual battle, some were more tactical. Regardless, all involved changing a certain point in history to lessen the United Earth's grip on the universe until they were in a position where they could be beaten.

... I think that's the most terrifying one I've heard yet, and the other ones I've heard involve shattering or eating souls.

I take it you're speaking of Paradisa. I have been told I was there, but I have no memory of it. I was in...another place I have no memory of too, apparently.

[ jade's expression is a little sleepy - she's probably just woken up from a nap or something - but she's trying to smile to ease the nervousness she can read in the other girl. ]

I was in a place called Asgard, and also in Paradisa? Do you still need info on either of those places?

[That gets a laugh out of her, though she's trying to hold it back.]

I've heard about Paradisa from a few people, and Davesprite told me a bit about Asgard, but the more information I can get on these things, the better.

Is it actually morning?

[ she sounds a little amused by that, just because - well, without a job or any real schedule, jade tends to just sleep whenever she's tired. ]

Davesprite and I were in Asgard together, so he probably filled you in on what I know, and I don't remember Paradisa that well, to be honest... but if you have any particular questions about either, I can do my best.

We're in space, I don't think we technically even have mornings.

I guess... The main questions are the ones I just asked. Why you were brought there, by who, and if you know how, that would be good. What you had to do, and all of that. For both of them.

Um, for Asgard...

[ she trails off, quiet for a moment. ]

We were brought there 'cause we were told that it was the Mother of all worlds. That it was the world from which the rest branched off of, and that Ragnarok was coming, and that we had to help stop it. The gods of that world brought us there, to fight Thiazi and the rest of the giants and to try to help keep the Tree from dying. I mean, there was more to it than that, but...

... I hate gods so much.

[She takes a minute to grumble before recovering.]

What did they make you do? How did you keep that tree alive?

[thebarkside]

I liked them a lot, actually. Most of them, at least? They seemed to really care about wanting to actually keep our worlds alive.

[ it's weird, to think of how fond she was of the city and its people. how much she misses it. ]

... I left before it all ended. Or at least I don't remember it ending. Davesprite said I was still there, but I never really asked for the details on how we saved Yggdrasil in the end.

That's not something I've heard of before.

... What about while you were there? Did you have to do anything special?
