[ Nova looks... tired, especially if you saw her on her first day. She's sitting up on her bed and her space looks pretty immaculate and not at all lived-in. She looks a little anxious, and rebraids the bottom of her hair before speaking, visibly uncomfortable with the camera. ]

Uh. Hey. I guess. I hope I'm not waking anyone up. I'm new so... I don't know. I can't sleep. Does anyone have any tips? Or something? It's... well, it's not exactly quiet, because things make noise. But it's... sterile? It doesn't sound right, or smell right.

I don't really want to think about it too hard. Anyway. If you could tell me what you did when you were new...

[ She trails off, awkward and tired and lets the silence go on a little long ]

It's probably just a personal problem.

Yeah, I know what that's like. Johanna and Haymitch showed up at the last place I was at, but it's still... a different part of my life than Gale.

[ Gale had always said that he felt out of reach of the part of her life that had been spent during the Games. It was something he couldn't fully relate to, a part of her that existed separately from him. ]

I'll be right over.

[ She shuts off the video feed, and jumps in the shuttle to head over to the First Breath ]

[ waits, kind of nervous ]

ACTION FOREVER?

[ It takes her a few minutes to get over there, but she'll hop out of the shuttle at the shuttle dock for the First Breath, a big plant in her arms.

Where u at, Katniss ]

[ Sticks her head out of her quarters when she hears her ]

Hey.

[ino]

[ She pokes her head up from behind the plant ... ]

Hey! Uh, mind if I come in?

[takeabow]

Yeah, come on in.

[ moves out of the way so she can enter ]

[ino]

[ She'll scoot on in, and set the plant down where it looks like there's some open space ]

There we go! [ Dusts her hands off ] More homey already.

[ small smile ]

Yeah, it is. Thanks.

You'll want to keep the soil moist for it to stay alive, so just check on it every few days to see if the top is dry.

-- Oh, and I'm not sure why you would, but the leaves are a mild irritant if ingested, so I wouldn't try chewing one or anything.

Uhh ... well, everything on the ship is edible, but I wouldn't call it enjoyable to eat. Everything is, like, weird protein blocks and stuff. I'd recommend going off ship to the planet and stocking up on some fresh food before we take off and head somewhere else.
