[ She's just passing by down the hall, but -- she definitely doesn't recognize this girl, so she'll greet her with a smile ]

Hey! Looking for someone?

[touchofrogue]

[She sure does look out of place! Doing a lot of peering around. Different ships are kind of interesting, actually... so this is what the Vanquish could look like with a few more augments?]

Uh - yeah, actually. I thought I'd check in on Rapunzel. I heard this was her new place.

[ino]

Oh, yeah! Yeah, I think she's in her room? I'll show you.

[ She'll gesture for Rogue to follow her ]

I'm Ino, by the way! I'm the captain of this ship.

[touchofrogue]

Rogue. Nice ta meet you, Ino.

[Captain, eh? Rogue's assessment grows not sharper, but simply more aware. She'll be taking closer note now, for what she owes for a kindness shown to someone she loves. Loved. Loves.]

How long have ya been captain?

[It's a casual question. Rogue's not on guard or defensive, but she does want to know more.]

[ino]

Uh, well ...

[ She has to think about it, because ... wow, has she really been here for that long? ]

About eleven months now, I guess. Wow.

[touchofrogue]

[Her eyebrows raise, impressed and somewhat reassured. The ship hasn't blown up yet! She may escape having to try to pull Rapunzel away (thank goodness, that much sweetness and light is terrible for her peace of mind).]

Oh wow, since practically the beginning of the run, huh? How's that goin'?

[ino]

Pretty well, actually. I wouldn't call us the most organized ship, but we all get along pretty well. And when a crisis comes along, it gets taken care of pretty swiftly.

[touchofrogue]

[Rogue nods.] I've only been here about a month. Still tryin' ta get a hold on all the types of trouble that come this way.

[It's not a question yet, because she's not sure she wants to get into this, but she's definitely willing to listen.]

[ino]

[ It may not be outright asked, but Ino knows where this conversation is headed. She's had it too many times not to.

Fortunately, in the case of the Fleet, the news is mostly good. ]

As far as trouble goes, it's actually not too bad, here. There's been a couple incidents, but only one where anyone's life was truly in danger -- and even then, we were all able to land safely without any casualties. Just needed to repair some of the ships and fix up a few concussions from the turbulence.

[touchofrogue]

[That... fell in line with what Rogue had learned about the place so far.

She shook her head slightly, the hint of a smile crossing her face like a shadow.]

Seems like this place is almost too good ta be true. Couple of drawbacks, sure, but... eleven months, just like that.

[She's glad to hear it, even if it makes her fear the other shoe dropping.]

[ino]

Yeah, tell me about it. Where I come from was a lot more dangerous.

[ Back at home, and in Paradisa ... ]

But hey, I'm not really complaining.

[touchofrogue]

No. Definitely not complain'.

[She glances at Ino, taking in the confident way she moves. It does make her feel a lot better about Rapunzel being here, for the owed secondary responsibility she feels toward the girl, especially knowing that Ino's been here since the start.]

So what else is good about this place?

[She figures she's asked all about the bad stuff from everyone else... might as well ask about something good.]

[ino]

[ She'll be rounding the corner into the hallway before she answers. ]

Well ... I mean, I would never have met a lot of the people that I care about if not for places like these. You don't get very many visitors from other worlds at home.

[ She's trying not to be gross and gushy about her boyfriend while still vaguely referencing him. Ino, cut it out, you're embarrassing. ]

[touchofrogue]

[Oh-ho, Rogue recognizes that tone. A wry, pained smile flickers across her lips and then is gone.]

Yeah, there is that. The people in these kinda places tend ta be... surprisin'.

[ino]

[ Ino laughs a little ]

That's one word for it. But you get used to it after awhile.

[touchofrogue]

[She raises her eyebrows, mock surprise.]

Makin' 'em not surprising?

[Does that mean they're all boring now, Ino?]

[ino]

Let's just say I've seen and heard of a lot of weird stuff.

[ It genuinely is pretty hard to surprise or shock her anymore, sadly ... ]

[Rogue actually breaths what could almost be a laugh at that.]
