[Crowley isn't in his usual place, lounging before the communications array aboard the Pathstone. Today, he seems to be wandering one of the big, empty spaces within the Iskaulit, looking around him with a small level of appraisal. ]

Back in Paradisa, there were a number of bars around the place. Gave people a place to go spend time, drown their sorrows, maybe people watch, or just sit in a corner and ignore the fact they were trapped in a magical soul-eating castle. One of my favourite places was a bar called the Lux. Great place, that.

[He wanders over to one part of the room, holding one hand out like he's trying to judge the space. ]

Discounting the fleeting places we end up on our travels, we haven't got anywhere like that here. Our own Drift Fleet captives place. Seen as we have this floating lot of empty space following us now, we might as well use it. So this is me, laying claim to this space for a bar that will be named at a later date. Something classy, I think.

Of course, work isn't my thing, so anyone interested in joining me in this grand and marvellous enterprise? I'd say I'll make it worth your while, but I think having our own bar will do that all by itself.

[ jade gives him a funny half-smile, like she really understands how absurd that remark is, coming from a sixteen year old girl. ]

I can't believe I'm saying this, but that's actually a pretty good idea.

Already started collectin' some stock. Ran a place on the space station, own a jazz club back home. Only real work I can think of doin' here, yeah?

So guess I'm sayin' if you're lookin' for a business partner, got a leg up on it.

[Of course, Crowley's used to Allen and Ino, so he's learned that age is not in the eye of the beholder. Not that he'd care if she was actually the age she looked anyway. Morals were for other people. ]

Sure, that'll work, why not.

[ You know, it was surprising to see Crowley suggest a project like that. To suggest actually rolling up his sleeves and contribute to the community beyond addictive flash games. For a moment, he's honestly worried ]

[At least until he gets to the last part, and then he sighs in relief. Oh good. This is just a roundabout way of Crowley asking people to build him a bar]

Ah, there it is. I was worried for a moment you were actually volunteering to do work.

He had never been much of a bar man, but he had enjoyed the Lux the few times he has gone and he has to admit - pubs had always been good gathering places, and often served as centers of communities. Having one open to the whole community might not be a poor idea and the space could always be split or serve dual purposes in the case of other ideas for a library. ]}

I know. That's why I was concerned for a moment.

A bar would be a good idea though.

[Crowley would fight for the space as long as he could. Booze is far more important than a bunch of dusty books. Aziraphale would be horrified at him. ]

You know, after what happened to it with its last curators, that might not be a bad idea.

Just nothing that will actually fry me. That would be deeply unpleasant.

[Aw, Nel, that gets a small smile. ]

I thought you might back this idea, somehow.

Of course it would be. We can even have a designated no-drinking area or...something. So you can still enjoy the atmosphere.

Sortin' out space's the only part that was keepin' me stuck. But now that we got the room...

S'gonna need some work, though. Gin joint only really needs gin, but any shmuck can pour booze in a dark room. That ship have anythin' even close to what looks like a bar?

Nothing even close. Seems those bug guys didn't have much of a taste for it. But we could probably work with the space we have. There's lots of engineers and whatever who're probably itching for a project.
