[ The video feed turns on, and there's a blonde girl with a much taller redhead.

They're in an empty-ish room on the Iskaulit, it looks like, and Ino checks to make sure the feed is going before speaking up. ]

Hi everyone! Dr. Crusher and I had an idea, we wanted to see if you guys were interested ...

[ She'll glance over to the other woman, waiting for her to speak up ]

We're thinking of setting up a garden over here on the Iskaulit. I know I, for one, could use a more natural retreat from the confines of our ships during longer stretches of travel between planets. I'm certain we could redirect some of the current water systems for irrigation, and there's more than sufficient space here to build sunlamps and the other equipment we'd need. [She smiles.] Unfortunately, while we both have experience working with plants, I'm afraid neither of us are particularly adept engineers.

[ Ino nods along, grinning a little at the very end of Beverly's statement ]

Now, I know there's plenty of you out there who've got the know-how to help us out. Soooo, what do you say? I've already got a decent stash of seeds and stuff that we could start planting right away, given we've got the right light and water conditions. Of course, we'll also gladly accept any donations or -- y'know, help from all the budding horticulturists out there, so on and so forth.

So? Do we have any takers?

[Blinking, Beverly stares for a moment. Surprisingly, it has less to do with the extraneous information and more to do with running into another Vash. It's not exactly a common name.

But then an amused half-smile appears, as she thinks about how utterly delighted the Vash she knows would be with his over-the-top introduction.]

Pleased to meet you. I'm only sorry you can't meet the Vash I know from home as well.

Really, you know another Vash? It is a great name! I bet he was a great guy too!

[She laughs a little.]

Well actually, Vash is a woman.

[ She was just listening quietly, but now she snorts. She's covering her mouth to stifle the giggles a little bit ]

Vash is a very ma-WHAT?! A he-she?! [Vash coughs and sputters a moment as he regains his composure. Clearing his throat before trying again.] Ah. Of course! Vash is a wonderfully,strong, and powerful name for either gender!

[She raises an eyebrow.]

Nice save.

[Vash grins and chuckles as he rubs at the back of his neck.] Yeah! It was, wasn't it?! HAHAHAHAHA! But I do hope that she's a good person!

[She's not sure "good" is the first word that comes to mind when anyone thinks of Vash, but sure, all right.]

She's a fascinating person to talk to and quite skilled at her job.

[Her job as a smuggler. We won't mention that little detail.]

[And he's an outlaw worth sixty billion. The Vash tradition continues.]

Well, with a name like Vash I bet she lives a very interesting life!

[She laughs.]

That she does. I'm sure if she were here, she would love to meet you, swap stories!

Ah, well. As fun as some of the places are we get to visit I'm not sure I should really be wishing someone to be here.

But if she ever does show up let me know!

[She laughs.]

Believe me, if anyone could handle this place, it'd be Vash. Atroma wouldn't know what they were in for.

But you're right, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I doubt Atroma really knows how to handle this Vash. Let alone two of us.

Lucky for them they didn't make a bigger mistake by having us both here!
