[Hello, Flooters. There's someone very decidedly alien blinking into the feed, mumbling to himself.]

[Those words were deliberate, these next ones are a bit more rapid-fire. He seems a little...distracted, kind of manic.]

Curious about implants. Is there a clinic? Doctor, professor, comfortable behind lab bench. Would also like samples from other captives. Where are you from? What races are present? So much data, too many variables to account for via video transmission. Need to study, research. Too many variables, need hard data.

Well, you seem rather... excited.

[Okay, maybe excited isn't the RIGHT word. But seeing as among this guy's first questions after waking up in a strange place is asking for samples? Vash has already decided to maybe try avoiding this guy in person for a bit.

Well, at least you're taking this whole thing in stride I suppose. The name's Vash by the way. [Manners, he sometimes has them.] So, you're a doctor then? You know, the kind that make people feel better when they're feeling sick?

Medical doctor. Biologist. Xenoscientist, specifically. Specialist in alien life.

[A soft chuckle.]

That can be useful. I suppose.

And specializing in alien life, huh? Well, that will probably be good! We're in space so everyone is nearly an alien if you think about it, huh? HAHAHAHAHA! [He laughs as if that's the best 'joke' anyone has ever made.]

[And then he exhales.]

[Okay, Vash can't help it. He's starting to like this guy. Never getting any samples from himself though.]

But I guess if you're an 'alien' doctor that means space travel is something that happens in your world then? Have you ever heard of this reality television show we're suppose to be on?

Space travel common! Lived on a ship with others. On a mission. Very exciting, best time of life.

[He sounds warm when he says it, fondness seeps into his voice.]
