... Two questions.

One, who would be the best person to go to about setting up a larger infirmary on the Iskaulit? After what happened, I think it might be better to have some larger area set up. Especially if something ends up happening and we need to quarantine some kind of ailment.

... And two. [and then he pauses, because he doesn't know how to ask the second one. it's not like it's the first time someone's left, but..]

Does anyone know what happens to the people who leave? A theory, a guess... Anything? Going home is supposed to be the prize for winning at the end of the show, isn't it?

I did propose putting together a larger infirmary on the Iskaulit last month; unfortunately, staff, supplies and money seem to be the big roadblocks. I wouldn't want to charge people since not everyone could afford to pay for treatment, but it's hard to figure out a steady source of income, too.

I'd help staffing when I could. We can always do something to up our ratings to get better income.

Mmm- I'm not sure I'd want to rely on Atroma or the audience to provide funding for us, frankly.

They provide it well enough, if you're interesting or dramatic. There are odd jobs on waystations, too, and there's usually work to be done on the planets we hit, too. From what I understand, we have medicinal herbs being grown on some of the ships already.

Yeah... I'd just like to have something as stable as possible, you know? What the audience finds interesting now may bore them in 6 months. [She sighed.] It's a good idea, and it's something I want to happen, but there are so many things that could go wrong, too. I'd hate to put in the work only to have to shutter it if our money dries up.

I'll keep in mind your offer to help, though. At the very least, I'm teaching people first aid and other basic skills so we have more hands to manage the minor stuff in case of a crisis.

I wouldn't mind knowing, if you're willing to teach another student. I'll keep an eye out for a way to get the funding together.

Absolutely. And I appreciate the offer to help- considering how often people come and go, our staff situation is always tenuous at best. I figured the more people know medical skills, the better, an ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure as the saying goes.
