The threats from the ogres have been handled for the most part, and negotiations with neighboring kingdoms have held. There's nothing Frell has that anyone wants to take by force right now.

The king never gets to do anything fun~ They have their armies fight before they do, so I'm glad to just be a normal soldier.

There's nothing like that - title where I'm from. What is it you do? What do dark mages do in the army?

Normal magic kills enemies too, though...but you don't use it by yourself, you have to use tomes.

I guess I did it myself once~ I don't remember it very well...

Any magic, I didn't think any of it could be -

I can do curses! There's a lot you can do with those~

( Subtly moving inch by inch toward the door. That sends a chill down her spine, because curses... curses are something very close to home for Ella, and predictably in no happy way. A curse disguised as a blessing, leading to some of the adventures and most difficult decisions of her life. She hold sup her hands - it's a sort of low level measure of placation, there there, nice dark mage captain... )

I'm ... I'm not sure there's a lot of pleasant things you can do with those.
