[It's been a whirlwind day for Kurt Wagner. He was emotionally raw from a traumatic event when he woke up in space. Kurt had arrived on the day of the shuffle and had been doing his best to try to keep a low profile. People aren't always the most acceptable of a fuzzy blue mutant who looks like a devil, after all. And he'd managed to pick up the basics, at least, between what encounters he had on the Marsiva, while managing to be lucky enough to avoid the network.

His luck ran out once he was shuffled onto the Huntress. The video feed catches an unsuspecting Kurt Wagner tinkering with his watch and being increasingly frustrated with it as he keeps prodding at it.]

Come onnn.... Why won't it work? Oh man!

[ooc: Of course, if any other new characters want, they can alternately run into him before the Shuffle, anywhere on the Marsiva. Choose your own adventure!]

[Allen meanwhile is just practically giddy at the idea that Zuko remembers him. Since hey, he's had to deal with Zuko not remembering him so many times. So at this point? It don't even matter if Zuko remembers another Allen- he still remembers him! It still counts!]

[And so there's a big grin on his face as he punches the palm of his hand almost gleefully in the background]

[It takes some effort to not return Allen's enthusiasm a bit (honestly, it's nice to have a familiar face), but Zuko manages to restrain the urge to grin a little bit to deliver a perfectly deadpan:]

[Katara told him he was from a poor spot in his life in Paradisa and was generally a giant dick, but then again, Zuko was probably just a giant dick to Katara. Because. It's Katara.]

Eighteen or Nineteen.... I'd probably just pick one of those depending on if you want to be younger or older. [That's what Allen did when he was a kid. Just picked a date for his birthday and a rough estimate of his age] I'm twenty-three.

[That's a fair bit older than Zuko remembers Allen, but. Whatever. Time is weird. Zuko has been in this game long enough to know that memories and time aren't always as constant as they lead them to be. And maybe Iroh has rubbed off on him and forcibly bullied Zuko into accepting that, sometimes, some things are outside of your control.

Still, Allen seems to still be the way Zuko remembers him, even if he's not the same Allen. It probably won't matter. At least he has someone who understands if Tyki or Rhode shows up and continue being acTUAL PLAGUES UPON HIS FUCKING LIFE anyway he's fine.]

It worked that way in Adstringendum, too... someone I knew was stuck looking like he was twelve when he was my age -- or somewhere around it.
