[It's been a whirlwind day for Kurt Wagner. He was emotionally raw from a traumatic event when he woke up in space. Kurt had arrived on the day of the shuffle and had been doing his best to try to keep a low profile. People aren't always the most acceptable of a fuzzy blue mutant who looks like a devil, after all. And he'd managed to pick up the basics, at least, between what encounters he had on the Marsiva, while managing to be lucky enough to avoid the network.

His luck ran out once he was shuffled onto the Huntress. The video feed catches an unsuspecting Kurt Wagner tinkering with his watch and being increasingly frustrated with it as he keeps prodding at it.]

Come onnn.... Why won't it work? Oh man!

[This is quite possibly the best day ever. Kurt thinks his name's cool?? Shawn's trying way too hard to fight the grin on his face, because he so doesn't want to scare the guy on the first day.]

A... Party Pony. [He just stares for a moment as he takes it.]

Yeah, I've heard the rundown on the situation already. I know the basics. But thanks, man. You're a big help.

He's a pony who throws parties. [He shrugs a bit helplessly.] Can't really explain it more than that.

[Besides, on the list of strange things he's seen, Cheese doesn't even rank in the top ten anymore.]

No problem! It's sometimes hard to tell what people've heard and what they haven't, but you should be good as long as you know about ratings and your augment. Which, by the way, does a scary amount of the work for you in knowing stuff.

Well, um, that's cool for him! I think.

Y-yeah. [He rubs at his arm uncertainly.] That thing's really filled me in on a lot! It feels like I really got training for... you know, being up out in space.

Yeah. Feels like one of those tapes you'd listen to while you sleep, 'cept it works way better.

[Not that he's ever used one. That's much more Eric's realm than his.]

It's still so weird sometimes, being all the way up here. You get used to it, kinda, but then I look outside sometimes and it's like, man, I miss fresh air and only having one sun, versus passing fifty of them. [Only a slight exaggeration.]

I bet it must be weird. It's... I mean, it doesn't feel easy to be away from home and everything. But it's still got to be a lot of fun. It's space!

Yeah! I've never seen the stars this close before, and we visit some cool places from time to time. [Case in point: their current planet.]

Plus? You never have to worry about missing a meal.

But hey, protein dispensers? Kinda makes up for it a little.

No idea. I think keeping actual food might be too expensive for them, but it also doesn't taste bad... so I haven't thought about it too much.
