[It's been a whirlwind day for Kurt Wagner. He was emotionally raw from a traumatic event when he woke up in space. Kurt had arrived on the day of the shuffle and had been doing his best to try to keep a low profile. People aren't always the most acceptable of a fuzzy blue mutant who looks like a devil, after all. And he'd managed to pick up the basics, at least, between what encounters he had on the Marsiva, while managing to be lucky enough to avoid the network.

His luck ran out once he was shuffled onto the Huntress. The video feed catches an unsuspecting Kurt Wagner tinkering with his watch and being increasingly frustrated with it as he keeps prodding at it.]

Come onnn.... Why won't it work? Oh man!

[ooc: Of course, if any other new characters want, they can alternately run into him before the Shuffle, anywhere on the Marsiva. Choose your own adventure!]

Ok, no, if we gotta be real, I was probably more like the annoying fairy that follows you around and tells you "hey, listen!"

I kind of liked that fairy...

I dunno, "kind of" makes it sound like you're feeling conflicted about it, dude. It'd be like me saying I guess I'm "kind of" ok with cats.

[He is kind of ok with cats, tho.]

Maybe a little bit... Or maybe it more means you like it but want to play it down for someone who doesn't?

I know, I'm just giving you shit about it. But I can at least vouch for the fact I'm way worse at my job than Navi.

Nah, not green enough. Though I dunno, maybe this is presumptuous, [BECAUSE HE WASN'T JUST] but do you know someone named Raven.

[The only Raven who comes to mind is his former principal, Raven Darkholme.

Who, of course, turned out to be his now-dead mutant terrorist mom.]

Raven? Um... I think you have to be more specific, man. [He's hoping he's referring to someone else... he can't think of any other Ravens he knows, though.]

She's like our age, assuming you're actually a teenager and not an ancient relic of times long forgotten and dead. Or something dumb like that. She had the blue look down. [That's the most obvious one.]

I guess she was usually a shapeshifter? Dunno if I can get more specific than that.

[He doesn't get the whole relic talk, but he quickly forgets it too. As the description goes on, Kurt's look grows more worried and apprehensive, and then he sputters out an answer.]

Mystique?!

Uh. I have no idea if that's a yes or no.

[It's a little cautious. He wasn't really expecting a reaction like that and he'd never heard Raven use the name Mystique.]

I... I think so. [He says that a little weakly, not sure how to begin to explain everything to him. But, he does go on more demandingly.]

How do you know her?!

We were in another of these shitpiles. Same premise, different story.

[This is the highly, highly abridged version, but no point in getting bogged down by details.]

She showed me a couple of her tricks. I showed her a couple of mine. [...] She was pretty cool.

[She made him feel cool. Even if they didn't know each other well, he'd always remember that.]

She was...? [It shouldn't be that astonishing for someone to have a positive impression of his mother.]

O-okay. And you said that she was young. Are you... sure...?

Well, I guess no. She looked it, though, in the blue and the alt digs she was sporting. And she said the blue getup was her real form, if that makes a difference.

[digthefuzz]

I... I get it.

I guess we knew her at different times. [He says, distantly. He doesn't know what to make of this, but even she had to be young once, right?]

So... she was cool, you say? [There's a curiosity clawing at him.]

Yeah. I mean I didn't know her super well, but she left that kind of impression. Like when you first meet someone and they just give off the vibe of a pretty fuckin' standup person, you know.

[digthefuzz]

[He pauses for a moment as he takes that in.]

Well, I can't deny that sounds like a great impression! [He laughs weakly.]

G-good to hear that you two good along. [Does that mean she used to be different? Or is this dude actually a supervillain? ...He seems a little weird for a villain.]

It's good to hear this. ...Thanks.

[He could enroll as the worst supervillain ever. It would be great.

But ok, now Davesprite is the curious one.]

Uh, you're welcome. [There's practically a question mark at the end of that.]

So...how do you know her? Uh, future or past her. [He's guessing some kind of relative, but he doesn't want to guess she's his mom if she's really his sister or something like that... Maybe it's a coincidental encounter of blue people?]

[He's not sure what to say. It doesn't seem right to tell him that she's dead now, and maybe that she's a mutant terrorist would also be pushing it. So he just says simply.]

She's- well.
