[she's been doing some thinking, and... after Accord, she wonders if she should even be bothering to hide herself from the enemies she may or may not have. the whole "intergalactic space show" seems pretty far-removed from her usual reality, after all. so, might as well throw this out and see if anyone starts snooping or, you know, flipping their shit.]

Hey, when everyone's got a minute, can you let me know a couple of things?

Part 1: Is "Kithain" a familiar term? If not, have you ever heard of "fairies"?

Part 2: On a scale of 1 to 10, how much magic do you know about in your world? 1 is you kind of freaking out at the idea that magic could even actually exist, and 10 being that you can't imagine living your everyday life without it.

Can you describe the fairy thing a little? How familiar are you?

[ It's so much easier for Cecil to respond verbally and since she's not looking like death anymore, she decides to just answer via video feed. She turns it on and gives the camera a small wave, then gives her reply while she goes back to cleaning weapons. ]

They're called the Sylph where I'm from. Not very much is known about them, but their home also serves as an entrance to another dimension called the Feymarch, where beings called eidolons live. They saved a friend of mine.

[WOW... this woman is so pretty, she looks like she could pass for a Sidhe, easy. Krista's actually just as comfortable going to video too, so she does the same!]

[she clears her throat--though her constant whisper never stops.]

I don't know what that, uh, last fancy word was, but that sounds kind of like what goes on in my world, too. People at least believe that they exist where you're from, right? They're not, like, some mysterious secret that only a couple of people have heard of?

Yes, it's a known fact that they exist. They are not usually seen and most people don't know where their home is, but, yes, everyone knows of them.

[ Cecil opens her mouth to answer, but then reconsiders and asks a question instead: ]

And since you are not offering an explanation for your curiosity right away, I suspect it might be something you'd rather not broadcast.

If we're gonna be real here, I'm pretty sure that if someone wanted to like, track me down and kill me, the fact that I'm asking any of this out in the open is a giant arrow pointing right in my direction. I'm really more asking for... other people? Uh, to avoid... accidents...? Um...

Ooooh, no no no, don't worry. My magic is fine. It's just that, uh, using it around non-magical people, where I'm from? Is a really bad idea. People don't think it exists on my world.

[ She laughs a little, obviously relieved. ]

Well, I don't doubt there are some like that here, but I think for the most part, you won't really have that sort of problem too much.

To answer your question earlier, yes, I can use magic. I am not a mage by profession though. I know only a little magic, most of it defensive and healing spells.

Yeah, that's... It looks like it might not end up a problem, yeah. Defensive and healing spells are both cool! Really handy... I mostly just wanted to know out of curiosity, at this point.

I suppose another reason for the private channel is that I also didn't quite want to share that part about my abilities aloud, where everyone could hear.

No, no... Lunarians are a technologically and magically advanced race of people from one of our moons, is all. I've been told by others that our aura is perceived as.... something divine.

Yeah. I, um, I know it sounds like sir, like you're calling me a guy or something, but it's actually my name. It's kind of funny when I get called "Miss Sir" at really fancy parties and stuff.

[for being one of the fae, she sure doesn't exude much... otherworldly grace or confidence. she really seems like a normal, awkward teenager.]

But I guess all my friends called me Krista, so... I'm really fine with either.

[ Cecil is really just charmed by the girl's down-to-earth personality. She chuckles softly at the anecdote, then comes to a decision. ]

All right. How about Krista then? If you're hoping to keep the truth of your nature mostly a secret, it could be good for that purpose too. Your fae name might raise some eyebrows now and again.
