Hey, when everyone's got a minute, can you let me know a couple of things? Part 1: Is "Kithain" a familiar term? If not, have you ever heard of "fairies"? Part 2: On a scale of 1 to 10, how much magic do you know about in your world? 1 is you kind of freaking out at the idea that magic could even actually exist, and 10 being that you can't imagine living your everyday life without it.

I appreciate your straightforwardness with the first one! So your "Benders" and all of that stuff... Just to clarify, does everyone know what they are, where you're from? The magical spirit goodness isn't a big secret or anything?

No, it's not a secret. A lot of people are born Benders. Especially if they have Bending in their family.

That's nice. That kind of thing is pretty of hush-hush where I'm from... Which was why I was so awkward about the tree-talking I totally was not doing that one time.

What tree talking? I remember no tree talking.

It'd be hard to hide Bending. When someone makes fire come from their hands or pulls the ground up under their feet, it's kinda obvious.

Well, I've got some magic of my own, but where I'm from, you're really not supposed to use it around non-magical types. Bad things happen.

What sort of bad things?

Usually screaming and fleeing in terror.

Well, it's kind of like... Imagine that someone told you they could create a flying elephant with big dragon spikes sticking out of its head, whenever they wanted. And you would say, "that's ridiculous", but then they clap their hands and suddenly there's a flying elephant with big dragon spikes sticking out of its head, hovering in your living room. Maybe you wouldn't scream, but you'd be kind of freaked out, right?

...Not really?

But on Team Avatar, we'd call that a regular Thursday, so I'm probably biased.

...Okay, so maybe that was a bad example. Maybe I can't explain it. On the bright side, your head would not explode (metaphorically) on my world.
