Hmm. She sees what they say about Marsiva having all the best food.
Once she's met anyone that's there upon arrival, she goes exploring. Tiny space to sleep, check. Separate room, though, she'll take it. The shower area has a bathtub. Things are looking up already. Well, apart from the not-being-home thing. You can expect her to poke her nose into every place and into your business, guys. She's nosy like that.]

he knew someone new was on the ship, but... he didn't expect her to just peek everywhere. ]
Uh, hi? You're the new person here, huh?
no subject
Hey. I'm Nami. Apparently your new pilot.
[Or one of them, anyway.]
no subject
Nice to meet you--sorry it had to be like this. They don't usually tell us when we've got new members.
[ he tilts his head. ]
I'm Riku--security augment. I keep us safe.
no subject
Security, huh? Keeping us safe is reassuring.
midterms could you stop
Well--someone's gotta make sure the ship keeps running, with our captain.
midterms never stop
I'm not gonna complain. Who's the Captain?
[That, she's a little more guarded about. She already has a captain. Not this crew's fault, but it doesn't sit right.]
well they need to quit that ;_;
godspeed

Everyone seems surprised to see me. Don't they give you a heads up when you get new crew members?
[Rude. So's not introducing yourself, Nami, but whatever.]
You're a doctor?

[Simon smiled apologetically.]
They do, but I must have been too absorbed in my work. I apologize. [He nodded.] I am- I'm Simon.
no subject
Well hi, Simon. I'm Nami. Pilot, apparently.

[She gives a wistful smile, and edges a bit closer to those plants he's studying.] Maybe it'll give me an edge.

which is really obvious when the lights in the hallway suddenly shut off for no apparent reason, plunging that part of the ship into a sudden darkness.]
...Ah, shit. [a voice calls out from... the engine room.] Was that the hallway?
[welcome to the Bloodsport. the fish will illuminate the way to the door.]
no subject
...oh right, nobody's answering that mystery voice. Hold up--]
Ah-- yeah. Hallway's dark. [Hang on, she's heading your way, heels clacking down the corridor.] That's just gonna be temporary, right?
no subject
[oh phew, the lights flicker sluggishly back to life almost as soon as she gets to the engine room. the room itself is pretty standard, with some extra work-benches and half-finished gizmos and plans laid out on top of it. Robin himself is standing in front of an open panel in the wall, messing with some wires--but he turns and gives her a little look-over when he sees she's made it.]
Oh, hey! I sure hope you're the new guy, and not just wandering around another person's ship for kicks.
no subject
No, no. I'm meant to be here. In as much as any of us are, anyway--I'm Nami. Your new pilot.
[One of them, anyway.]
no subject
[and that seems pretty genuine--he grabs a rag, wipes some greasy stuff off his fingers, and crosses the room to hold out his hand for a handshake.]
Pleasure to meet you, Nami. I'm the captain and engineer around here--when I'm not breaking things, anyway.
[he glances back at all of those wires...]

Jinx is the one who does that!
A brief glare, then a shrug.
Aight. Whatevs. Welcome, newbie.]
no subject
Although Nami's kind of more taken aback than anything, so you know. She watches Jinx warily for a moment, then puts up a hand.]
...hey. Just looking around. That's okay, right?

...I mean hi whiskey godfather--]
You're a wonderful man! Thank you!
[Excuse her while she snatches those bottles up and just runs off for the kitchen.
...well, you can follow if you want, I guess.]
no subject
Hope they're to your liking.
no subject
I'm pretty amazed that a place in the middle of space sells whiskey, though.

[Vash did try to find the best the planet could offer. Which wasn't the greatest in the galaxy sadly.]
It seems no matter what planet we visit there are always a couple important discoveries. Fire and booze. The two most important things in life!
