[she's probably noticed a number of fishbowls on tables and counters around the ship. and on the pilot's dash, and under the communications chair, and on the floor of the hallway... the pet fish in them glow, each a different color.

which is really obvious when the lights in the hallway suddenly shut off for no apparent reason, plunging that part of the ship into a sudden darkness.]

...Ah, shit. [a voice calls out from... the engine room.] Was that the hallway?

[She'd definitely noticed the fish, but not just how much they glowed. So there's a small delay before answering because she's leaning over to tap the side of one fishbowl, fascinated. Luffy'd love these. Before he got too hungry, anyway.

...oh right, nobody's answering that mystery voice. Hold up--]

Ah-- yeah. Hallway's dark. [Hang on, she's heading your way, heels clacking down the corridor.] That's just gonna be temporary, right?

Uh... [his voice gets echoey and muffled, but she can make it out as she's moving closer:] Probably. If I can just get this...

[oh phew, the lights flicker sluggishly back to life almost as soon as she gets to the engine room. the room itself is pretty standard, with some extra work-benches and half-finished gizmos and plans laid out on top of it. Robin himself is standing in front of an open panel in the wall, messing with some wires--but he turns and gives her a little look-over when he sees she's made it.]

[Ah. Workshop, she guesses. She grins at that statement, leaning against the side of the doorway with a small shrug. She has kind of done that in the past, but shh.]

No, no. I'm meant to be here. In as much as any of us are, anyway--I'm Nami. Your new pilot.
