Um this one? [He listens for a second] I think it's "Don't Stop me Now"?
no subject
It certainly is good work out music!
Speaking of which... do you mind if I'm in here? I don't need any of the equipment, just an open space.
no subject
Oh- that's perfectly fine! This is a common area- do you want me to turn off the music?

Distracted:]
No... no ... it's fine. [Tiny frown.] I'm sorry if this is a rude question but ah... what does this [She replicates the rock symbol with one of her own] mean?
no subject
[he glances at it his own hand. What DOES it truly mean...?]

Oh! I've never seen those before!
no subject
[Wait.]
Have you heard any jazz before?
no subject
Oh, that's...some sort of American music, isn't it...?
no subject
Jazz is probably the quintessential American music! Making use of both African rhythms and European harmonies, it really revolutionized music. Rock music wouldn't exist -Or at least not in the form we are familiar with - without jazz.
[She pauses, as there is always that small prick of guilt she gets from telling people in the fleet things like this. That pesky Prime Directive.]
I wish I had some for you to listen to.
