I have a weird question... have you ever met someone in one of these places who's supposed to be dead? Or... I guess, are you? How do you know?

Honestly, I don't know. What do you think you missed out on most?

It's hard to say. A lot of it might be food related. Stuff was rationed and not really made for taste. Plus, I lived off Mom's and Bellamy's. Not exactly a prime selection.

[She's already walking to leave the porch of the saloon.] Toss me some ideas.

I'm not going to claim that I can help you experience everything. I came from a pretty poor background, too, but we can at least do some things. Things that include sunlight and wide open spaces.

No, but you actually grew up on Earth with real food. That's a hell of a lot better than me. [Octavia jumps down to the dusty ground, skipping the steps of the saloon's porch. She looks back at Nova, her expression curious.]

If we ever do get to a lake, you can teach me how to swim.

If Peeta were here, he'd make you a cake, probably. I'm pretty sure he could make one from anything.

What's a Peeta? [The words slip out before it fully registers it's some dude's name. She clears her throat, shrugging a bit.]

Maybe that's it. [She looks back from the road, waiting for Nova to follow her.]

We had to pretend to be in a starcrossed romance in order to survive, and then... I don't know. Maybe it became more of a thing?

[She's walking, a little quicker than usual, eyes scanning buildings as they pass by.]

You ever ride a horse?

Actually, I can't say I have. I've ridden in a chariot?

[And now a look back at Nova.] The horse drawn cart used for battle? That thing?

Yeah, but it was a parade I was in.

[Octavia just stares at her friend for a long time.]

You world is weird.

Just reaffirming it, I guess. [She turns back to the stables and goes inside.]
