[Recently, Octavia's been spending a lot of time planet side, playing her own game of picking the natives from the fleet members. Granted, it's been easier than she'd like, but it's still a way to get familiarized with a few faces.

So now, she's sitting on the deck of a saloon, drinking what could very well be some watered down form of alcohol, when she spots a familiar face. A grin appears on hers as she leans back and waves, shouting her name.]

[ it takes Nova a second— she tenses and freezes when her name is called, but then she sees Octavia and relaxes, smiling even, before heading over ]

Hey. Sorry, the video to real life thing is still weird for some reason.

Nah, no worries. [Octavia leans forward and kicks out the chair across from her before leaning back once more and nodding to it. Have a seat.]

So what're you up to out here? It's a safe bet to say you weren't off running around the forest.

[Furiosa's fussing on the bridge, putting on the finishing touches on her kill-switch system. Not that it's really going to be much of a game-changer, given the auto-pilot and augment system. Really, it was a distraction for her, something to do in the long monotony.

She's got her comm device playing in the background, and curls around to watch the feed when she hear's Nova's voice. It's not a bad time for a break, actually. She abandons her project for the moment and queues up a video reply.]

I have, actually. Still trying to figure it out myself. Have you seen someone you thought you lost?

No. One of the people I met here... she knew me from another world kind of like this. And there she knew someone I witnessed dying.

Er, well... it's kind of complicated. I didn't... exist quite the same way normal people do, so I guess you could say that dying was less like dying and more like becoming nothing again.

I am one of those who died, and was reformed through another world's magic. I fear it is no uncommon fate.

I believe death is a universal concept; If that is so, and it is inevitable, it is not surprising many have died. That they are taken is no different from those alive, if not less surprising, for the world has seen many more dead then are now alive.
