[ james has been aboard the Paisley (and quite enjoying himself!) for quite some time, but he's a little homesick. for one, he has no wand, which means he can't perform most forms of magic. james is a clever wizard, and has been trying to perform a bit more wandless magic. which is what he's doing now as the recording airs, showing james staring at a pen on the dashboard of the Paisley. which is wiggling.

after a moment or two, james sighs and reclines in his chair, and the feed flickers off just to flicker back on, because this time, it's on purpose!]

[He waves his hooves as if he's playing a little invisible organ at the dun dun duuuun. ]

Okay! So. Many many many years ago, there lived two princesses, sisters. They ruled over their kingdom and were loved by their subjects. The eldest sister rose and lowered the sun, and the youngest rose and lowered the moon. They kept their world in balance, and everything was pretty darn neat.

It didn't last, though. Y'see the subjects played and worked in the daytime, but locked themselves away and slept through the night. The youngest sister started to get bitter, thinking her subjects didn't appreciate or love her as much as her older sister. That they didn't love the night as much as they loved the day.

james actually catches the reference (mostly because HE'S SEEN STAR WARS look at what a cultured and hip 1970s pureblooded youth he is) and he opens his mouth slightly, a little puzzled, before he realizes what he was doing before he decided to address the fleet

and in that one moment, james (what the fuck is your middle name boy) potter is faced with a crucial decision.

[Story time is always a good reason to leave the med bay - which, frankly, Stefan hadn't done often since the recent Shuffle. With two mugs of tea in hand, he offers one to James before leaning against the wall.]

I figured, you can't really listen to a story without a good cup of tea.
