[ why hello there, fleetians. this broadcast is brought to you by the letter W, as in WHY THIS WHY ME. which is, coincidentally enough, one of the many thoughts buzzing through weiss' mind ever since she'd woken up to find herself in space. though she supposes after a "digital" space, regular space shouldn't be too difficult to adjust to. boy, is she trying.

she might actually look familiar to some of you — there had definitely been an accidental broadcast or two of her as she fumbled through her first few hours on marsiva — mostly boring stuff like meticulously combing through any and all information she could find on her communicator (and taking an extensive amount of notes on them), stuffing her face into a pillow and screaming at the top of her lungs, and staring into a mirror and giving herself a pep talk in an attempt to Get a Grip.

apparently the Grip has been Gotten (or maybe she just grew impatient), for now she's making her first broadcast, a pleasant smile plastered on her face. ]

Good ev— [ she pauses, glancing briefly to the side; how does one even tell time in space.... ] — Greetings. [ her smile becomes just a touch more strained. ]

My name is Weiss Schnee. As the newest Communications Officer of the S.S. Three Twins, I thought it was prudent to introduce myself to the rest of the ship. I can't say I have much experience in the area of... space pioneering — [ or reality tv star, for that matter, but she's pointedly choosing to Ignore that bit of the deal thankyouverymuch ] — but when it comes to diplomacy and intermediation, I have an extensive background.

[ a brief pause. shoot, she's already forgotten her place. best to just wrap this up..! ]

[ another pause, and then she suddenly remembers—! ]

Oh, and if anyone might know where I can get some binders, I'd really appreciate the tip.

[ from the looks of it, she'll probably be needing more than one... ]

— though, to be fair, it isn't as if there's much else for her to do right now... ]

Movie marathons. [ she repeats the phrase like she isn't entirely sure what to make of it. ] I — thank you. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

[Oh, he sees that befuddled stare - which is exactly why his smile grows wider, and far more genuine.]

You should. I don't watch a ton of movies, especially nowadays, but I wouldn't mind introducing you to some of my favorites later. You know, during one of your breaks.

[Because he sure isn't going to suggest that she slack off entirely. He can see that giant paper pile too.]

[ she sounds quite surprised by the invitation, but she doesn't look put off by it — merely shy. ]

[ it goes against her basic nature to WORK ALL THE TIME but she thinks it might be fun... ]

[His smile only grows wider. Take a picture, Weiss - Stefan's happiness tends to be rare, fleeting moments, but he's been in an especially great mood lately.]

Is there anything that should be off-limits? Like uh, cheesy 90's films?

[He would name Space Jam, but with his luck, everyone would pile in to question his taste...]

[ SPACE JAM IS AMAZING but weiss would probably sit through it all wondering what the heck she's being made to sit through................. ]

[ read: she probably hasn't seen or heard of any of these, but is too embarrassed to admit it. ]

Yeah, no, we're still skipping Space Jam.

[More like, HE HATES SPACE JAM, so everyone would yell at him for omitting it from his pop culture crash course. Ah well, his girlfriend could fill in the gaps.]
