At least there's no elevator music...

[At least two weeks have passed since the Drift Fleet passengers woke up on this strange wing of the Marsiva... Some new passengers have even joined the group instead of being Shuffled off to a fleet ship! The large monitor in the central room remains quiet for now, so how is everyone holding up?

Have you been relaxing? Enjoying the Earth media? If you can even remember them, how have Calibrations been treating you? Has anyone started getting a little stir-crazy?

Don't worry... This ship has no shortage of mysteries, and you'll be seeing a few more soon.]

ooc: here's another mingle for the current game event! players can start or continue threads here from any point during the event. the additional setting information is still being postponed due to sickly mods, but y'all are welcome to post additional topcomments for reactions and investigation once it's up!

A. Media Round-Up!

[You can find the tiny child in the common room, running back and forth as he checks out the different media on display. He seems to be gathering all the things he recognizes as his favorites.]

Yes! Another one!

[He runs back to deposit another book there. In that line-up, there are books from series like The No Home Boys and The Spirit Morph Saga, plus a copy of How to Talk to People.]

B. The Final Countdown

[Steven keeps on eying the timer uncertainly, wondering what it could have to do with his weird dreams lately. Finally, he points a finger at it.]

What's your deal, Timer?!

C. Wild Card!

[He can be found bumming around the kitchen, or checking out the gym, or just lounging around the common area!]

[ ... She's watching him hoard all of the books/movies/etc ... but that last book on the list, there ... ]

... "How to Talk to People"?

[ That sounds like something Sai would read ... ]
jamminshield: (eager)

[Luckily it doesn't have quite the same influence on Steven.]

Yep! [He pats the book a few times.] This book's helped me with some tough jams!

[He sets it back down by the others, and it accidentally opens in the progress.]
ino: (Yes well ...)

[ ... Definitely something Sai would read. ]

Uh ... really? Is it that helpful?

[sup, tiny child, there's a tiny horse wandering through, a rubber chicken lying across his back. He's about to head to the usual nook he's been hiding in since the Calibrations have started, but the little pile of books captures his attention. ]

Planning on doing a whole lot of reading?
jamminshield: (cheesiest)

[Steven does give a giddy smile as he sees who's talking to him - the pony he's heard so much about! - but he contains his glee as he looks towards the books.]

Oh, I don't know if I'll read allll of them soon. I just wanted to pick out books that I recognize!
preformthisneigh: (Pleasantly pleased)

[It's totally the fabled pony. He'll nose of of them open to peer at it. ]

Ooooh, so these are from your home world?
jamminshield: (goofy shrug)

[personal profile] jamminshield 2015-11-11 09:40 am (UTC)(link)
[He gives a nod, so happy that the pony is reading one of his books.]

Yep! I hope other worlds have them too, because they're really important books! I think they're top selling books... they're definitely some of the top sellers in my heart!
preformthisneigh: (Littlest Hobo theme)

[personal profile] preformthisneigh 2015-11-11 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[He looks genuinely interested. There's not a lot to do on the Marsiva and he's getting a little bit of cabin fever.]

What're they about? Anything you'd recommend?
jamminshield: (pearly whites)

It depends on what you like in your books! The Spirit Morph saga is a really big and epic fantasy series. Some of it can be hard to understand, but it's all in good fun!

We also have some of the No Home Boys books there. They're fun and a lot easier to read! It's just about a bunch of boys who go on fun adventures while traveling, cause there's no place they call home!
preformthisneigh: (Point)

[personal profile] preformthisneigh 2015-11-14 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
No place they call home, huh? Sounds just like the life I lead. Mind if I borrow it? Wouldn't want to detract from your reading adventure.

[He gives a soft hum, peering at the shelves around them. ]

We could always do a trade. I'm sure I saw some Daring Do books around here somewhere...
jamminshield: (very pleased)

[personal profile] jamminshield 2015-11-14 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
[He gives some eager nods.]

Sure! I already read them all, so I'm glad to let someone else try them out! [He picks up one of the No Home Boys books at random (Steven sometimes forgets about reading in order) and hands it to the No Home Pony. Then he looks on curiously.]

Ooh, what's Daring Do?
preformthisneigh: (Just like that)

[personal profile] preformthisneigh 2015-11-14 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks, buddy!

[Eh, he'll figure it out, he casually takes it with his mouth, before moving to balance it on his tail. How? Magic. Probably.

He wanders the shelves, before standing on his back legs to pull out a books with a horse that looks a lot like Indiana Jones on the cover putting it on the ground next to Steven.

She's the hero of this book series in my world. I know a mare who loves them. All about adventures and treasure hunting and what-have-you.
