[At least two weeks have passed since the Drift Fleet passengers woke up on this strange wing of the Marsiva... Some new passengers have even joined the group instead of being Shuffled off to a fleet ship! The large monitor in the central room remains quiet for now, so how is everyone holding up?

Have you been relaxing? Enjoying the Earth media? If you can even remember them, how have Calibrations been treating you? Has anyone started getting a little stir-crazy?

Don't worry... This ship has no shortage of mysteries, and you'll be seeing a few more soon.]

[Jennifer smiled as she watched Nova peering intensely at something in her hand.]

If you don't mind telling me.

[ a little startled, to be honest. rubs her thumb over it and doesn't exactly hold it up for Jennifer to see ]

Yeah. Just a pin.

Still... it's something to hold onto, right? A reminder of where you came from.

I guess. What I've gone through, at least.

[Jennifer moved a little closer, nodding.]

Of your journey... of what led you here. I mean, "here" was against your will, but still...

Anyway. How are you dealing with all of this?

[Jennifer took the hint and decided not to press further. Instead, she laughed nervously.]

It's been a bit hard to adjust to doing nothing, I have to admit. I'm a doctor, so I'm used to being so busy I can't think all the time. Here, though, there are no injuries, no sicknesses- I don't even have a lab. Having too much free time sounds like the worst complaint ever, but there you are.

Tell me about it. It feels like I'm suffocating here.

Yeah, that's a good word for it. Like, we have things to read and do and listen to, but we're still confined to this area. And we're on a schedule. [She gestured to the countdown.] Even less freedom than before.

I'm not really much of a reader.

I like it myself... but not when that's all I have to do. I read, I work out, I stare at the ceiling a lot... some life this is.

My sister is much more patient with those sorts of things.

Oh, you have a sister...?

Yeah. Her nam is Primrose.

That's a beautiful name. Is she here?

No. She's not.

[ she seems REALLY SAD about this ]

Oh... [Jennifer frowned, possibly misinterpreting the reason for the sadness.] And I bet you miss her, huh? I don't have anybody from my world here, either... separation can be so hard sometimes.

Yeah. She's the most important thing to me.

[Jennifer smiled shyly.]

It's good to have someone like that, though, I think. I was an only child myself, so it took me a while to find someone- several someones- to fill that role. I would do anything for them, though.

Yeah? Good. That's good.

Yeah... it is. Not being attached to anyone was so lonely.
