five ○ voice / action
Who: Caesar & u
Broadcast: Fleetwide!
Action: Marsiva, kitchens & gym!
When: Ostensibly 11/15, but really whenever
[His voice sounds muted, almost bored, but anybody who actually knows him might be a little worried at the lack of underlying irritation there. There's the clank of pots and pans in the background, also muted.]
Since we're stuck here for the foreseeable future - I understand that people are coping. [As people do. For what good it does.] I don't have the proper augment, but I know how to cook if anyone wants to learn. I don't have anything else to do. [Besides watch The Princess Bride on endless repeat.]
[. . . And then, almost as an afterthought:]
I can fight, too. If anyone wants that.
[Find him in the kitchens, or the gym on request. Close CR can assume a delivery of a comfort food of their choice.]

voice;
no subject
[With the heavy weariness of someone who is always free on the Marsiva, and also of someone who is twenty but thinks he's about eighty-five.]
no subject
[Remus isn't ever really chipper, but he most certainly could be when compared to this man. Good lord. HE doesn't bother with good-byes, just makes his way down to the kitchen. Again. Honestly, he should just set up camp with how often people seem to summon him there.
Here he is: twenty-one and a little awkward, his body hunched into itself as he looks around. It's just him and the other man, and he smiles.]
Hallo.
no subject
[Anyway, he seems much calmer now that he's done addressing the Fleet at large and is . . . elbows-deep in what is apparently dumpling dough. All Remus gets by way of greeting is a glance up and a short nod; then:]
Caesar. What do you want to learn? Everything?
no subject
[He edges closer, peering in clear curiosity at whatever it is Caesar is doing.]
no subject
Dumplings, for soup. Soup is easy. You just throw everything in a pot and leave it for a while.
You really only know how to do eggs?
no subject
no subject
[A beat. Then he actually does manage a small smile.]
I'll show you. It's a good starter meal - you don't have to make separate dishes, and if you turn away for a few minutes it's not going to burn. I can show you other things, too, of course.
no subject
[He smiles at him, terribly pleased by this small kindness.]
How long have you been here?
no subject
Almost six months, now.
[He did not realize it had been that long. Damn.]
no subject
I really ought to stop asking that question. It never leads to anything good.
In any case: I've only been here a week or so.
no subject
[Which probably says a hell of a lot. He chews the inside of his cheek absently, wondering if this is the time to try an experiment. It seems a little unfair.]
I'm sorry you came in when it's like this. Normally things make a little more sense.
no subject
It's a spaceship. I don't think it would have made a lot of sense no matter what.
[He smiles, though, pleased at the comfort.]
But I appreciate it. Everyone's been quite kind to me.
no subject
[He does not like calibrations. Nobody does, but him extra not. Because he has no chill.]
I'd hope so. Everyone was kind to me, too. Even though it was disorienting.
