[ after she wakes up and orients herself, hermione spends quite a long time standing in front of the marsiva's massive windows. her arms wrap tight around her middle as she stares out into the void. if she looks a little overwhelmed, that's because she is. things back home aren't exactly great at the moment and now this.

once her legs get tired, she heaves a great sigh and walks over to a network station. it takes her a little while and quite a bit of backspacing before she's satisfied with her message and sends it off to the rest of the fleet. ]

I'm looking for anyone familiar with magic or, more specifically, the name 'Hogwarts.' Please reply to this if you recognize it. Thank you for your time.

Oh! [ hermione jumps, startled by haruka's voice. ]

That's... really real, then? It's not a painting or a picture of some sort?

We might be worse off if it were. [ This way, presumably, they know one of the tenets they are told upon arrival is true: they are In Space. ]

This your first time out here? [ As if all kinds of people have gone to space before. Why not. ]

Do you mean 'here'-- [ she waves a hand behind her at the ship ] Or 'here?' [ then waves that hand at the void. ]

The answer's yes either way.

[ Precision's valued, huh. Poor girl is talking to the wrong person. Haruka chuckles and keeps staring out into nothingness. ] You don't look awed.

I think I'm still in shock. [ her mind is skipping like a broken record, stuck on this shouldn't be possible. ]

[actsmagnificent]

That's natural. [ Brand brand new. Haruka allows for a moment of silence to let this young lady catch up with her thoughts. ]

[librarial]

[ she swallows hard once, twice, and rests her fingertips against the cool window. ]

I don't understand how this happened. I was asleep and then--here.

[actsmagnificent]

Everyone wants that answer. [ It's funny. She'd been receiving this speech not long ago and now she gets to give it.

Haruka is not quite as forthcoming by nature as the people who'd greeted her, but she'll make do. She picks her words carefully since she knows this is a lot. ] They say we're here for "entertainment"....

[ A snort shows what she thinks of that. ] Must be some show.
