That's probably because we're strangers to him in a strange situation. He'll probably ease up as he grows more accustomed to everything.

I know right? I mean... Zuko kind of weird everyone out when he first meets them?

I mean, me and him started out super badly so I don't know if that's clouding my judgement, but still.

Well, it's possible Hans lied because he didn't know how you'd react. Or maybe he's used to much worse than Zuko's....well, Zuko being Zuko.
