[ Well, then, he can do that while she just stands there, feeling really confused and mildly bewildered. Here for a reason? Who? What? She's not sure she understands what he means by that at all. It feels a bit like she should be surprised he even commented in the first place, but the remark still certainly leaves much to be explained. And she doesn't feel as if asking will even get her anywhere right now. ]
