[Her smile fades at that, everything about her goes a little more somber as she pours a bit of water over the plant herself. She knew this would be unavoidable, but that knowledge doesn't take the sting out of Cole's blunt words.]

People who have left before have returned.

[He just knew he felt oddly about it and what he felt, he tended to just blurt out.]

[She reaches out to touch his shoulder softly and manages another smile for him, because of course didn't mean to. It would go against his very nature and her own feelings are certainly not something she would ever blame on Cole.]

People came in and lived like I do. Touching, knowing, living, coming back... It was normal to me, but not them.

[He shifts slightly.]

I miss Solas. I miss Solas a lot.

I know you do. I miss him too.

[She had, after all, checked his murals first thing on arriving back on the Pathstone. Having Solas here would help them both, especially when she's still not as good as she'd like to be when it comes to comforting Cole.]

But we're here now, and I doubt something like that will happen again. Can you take comfort in that?

I didn't mind people in my memories. That's... what spirits are like? It felt natural for me. What people did with me, I do all the time. I can't stop it.
