Oh! Great. Are you one of Ino's friends? I swear, I know, like... no one here, almost.

[he would point, but his hands are full. so, he just tilts his head in the direction of the snacks and random cosmetics on the table.]

Do you want something to eat or anything? We don't have a whole lot... since it's space and we don't have a cook anymore... but it's not too bad.

[Wanda shakes her head, smiling politely as she declines Nel's offer of food.]

No, I am all right. Thank you though.

[She does noticeably eye some scarlet-red nail polish that is sitting on the table though. Red had always been her favorite color.]

But yes, Ino and I know each other. I was a little surprised she invited me at first, and was not sure I would even come. But then Nanako invited me too, and I could not decline at that point.

Well, it's good that you showed up. I don't know that many girls, so I'm glad Ino had people to invite.

[and that sort of glance is exactly the kind of thing he'd notice--following the path of her eyes with a sneaking grin.]

...You like nail polish?

[Wanda realizes that she had been staring at a particular bottle of crimson-red colored nail polish, and she redirects her attention back to Nel.]

Oh, well... [Slight blushing.] I like the color red...

[As evident by her pajamas. And the darker red shawl she has wrapped around herself.]

Oh, well! I bet it would look great on you.

[aaaaand he's immediately scampering right over to the table full of cosmetics and snatching up the red polish.]

[Wanda hesitates, unsure if she should stop him. She didn't know whether or not it was ill manners to just help herself to the cosmetics on the table. But still... it was a very pretty color of nail polish.]

[and he comes right back, shaking the bottle up along the way.]

You sure you don't want a snack or anything? You don't want to mess up wet nails by eating afterward.

No, no. Really, I am all right. Thank you.

[Honestly, just being forward about going to get her that nail polish is enough for the moment.]

[hope she's ready for more forward friendliness, because he's not stopping anytime soon.]

You want me to do them? I promise I'm good at it. I won't mess them up.

[Wanda cocks an eyebrow, taking a moment to size this strange boy up. She tries to judge for herself whether or not she's okay with him painting her nails. After a moment, she grins warmly, shrugs a shoulder, and offers him her hand, palm facing down. After all, if it ends up being a mess, then she can always re-do it herself right? Normally, she probably wouldn't be so open to letting someone else do her make-up, let alone someone who is basically a stranger to her. However, there was something infectious about his bubbly personality that persuaded Wanda to relent.]

[and boy, this elf has spent years practicing that infectious nature. it helps that he has a naturally gregarious personality, but some of that stark, charming friendliness is due to lots of training.

when it's your job to please and entertain, those skills are vital.

though, now it's pretty much just second nature. and he's genuinely happy to hang out with these girls and go on a mad nail-painting and hair-braiding spree, so there's nothing false about the way his grin widens when she agrees.

...You know, I like bigger parties a lot? But I'm glad Ino pulled this together. It's nice to just hang out and relax and stuff sometimes.

[Wanda smiles back warmly, nodding her head in agreement. She is content to let Nel paint away, though she is keeping one eye on his handiwork. So far though, she is impressed.]

It was nice of her to invite us all together like this. I know it has been a while since I visited any of the other ships. It feels good to interact with people in person, and not just through a communicator screen.
