[Vima rubs her face and groans, making a face because wow, did she brush her teeth last night? And then her eyes pop open wide. When did she get back on the ship? She looks around... something is different. It's warmer, for one thing.

And then she spots the flat, circular portrait holoprojector laying on the bunk... she picks it up and she's about to turn it on when she notices her comm is broadcasting. She makes another face--obviously Atroma wanted to see her emotional reaction--but she might as well make use of it.]

Hey, if anyone's picking this up.

Is everyone else back on their ships? Have our hosts said anything yet? [there's a pause as she goes back through a few posts... uh...] I think I overslept.

Yeah, they decided all the ships needed some modifications. It's pretty chilly now — nothin' we can't handle, but nothin' we can fix, either. We'll need to focus on insulation and warmer clothes when we stop somewhere.

[ He grins at her. ]

Pie's in the kitchen, if you want some.

We'd better look for some fiberglass on the next planet stop, then. [The cold is okay, though. Reminds her of Rhen Var a bit... she still puts her slippers on before heading to the kitchen, though. And she gets kind of a funny feeling as she's heading down there.] Is it just the environmental controls? Sort of feels like something else is off, too.

Just the cold, to me. Why, what're you sensing?

[Vima shrugs. It's not really a Force-sense type of sense, more the regular kind.]

I dunno, it seems--smaller than it was? Maybe it's because we were on the big ship for so long.

There's a strange basket from the Atroma as some kinda gift, just be careful in case they gave you somethin' weird.

[She glances back towards her quarters.]

Yeah, I found something familiar in there. Right on top of the candy. [She shakes her head.] It's unsettling--I don't like Atroma taking stuff out of my home on top of me being here.

They gave me apples, and a movie.

[ He frowns. ]

Maybe it's their way of sayin' sorry for the ship, but I wouldn't count on generosity.

[tobeajedi]

It'd be dumb anyway if they were sorry for that and not abducting us to be in their little production.

[She pokes her head into the kitchen.]

But if the rest of us get apple pie out of it, that's not so bad. What was the movie you got?

Casablanca. It's on a flat-screen, so not sure how you future people will take it, but it's a classic.

I don't know if I'm from the future. According to Ahsoka, I'm from a long time ago. We still have flat books, anyway.

So what's it about?

Good, if she calls ya a fossil we've got a club of us.

It's about a man in Morocco who has to choose if he wants to help the love of his life and her husband escape the country to keep fighting in the Resistance.

If she does that, I'm going to replace her sparkly pilot controls with bits of amber.

Love of his life and her husband? That sounds like it'd get complicated quick.

Well, it's about them and also it's about the War going on at the time. You'll understand when you see it — if you want to, that is.

[tobeajedi]

If it's a classic, it's probably a part of my cultural education or something. [She gets serious for a second, though.] What are the war scenes like?

[ Pretty tame, compared to the real war, but, ]

Not many, the majority of it takes place in a city called Casablanca, in Morocco. It's where folks went to escape the war.

[tobeajedi]

Oh, I see. [That's good. Vima's not particularly big on battlefield scenes.] War, romance, and foreign countries--sounds like you can't miss it.

[She cuts a slice of apple pie and takes a bite.]

Hey, you're pretty good.

Only pretty good? Seems I gotta work harder.

I'll set it up in the cargo bay later, we can all watch.

It's my first apple pie. I'll have to do some comparisons, you know.

Great! Do we have popcorn? I hear you're supposed to make that when you watch a movie.

That sounds like a clever excuse to swindle me outta some more homemade food.

[ Waving, ]

Yeah, we have popcorn. Plenty of it.

Hey, maybe I just want to be scientific about it.

[no she doesn't]

Fantastic. Knowing all of these Earth traditions will serve me in good stead, I'm sure.

[ Grumbling, ]

Maybe you just want to take advantage of me. Least you're upfront about it.

Oh yes. Any Jedi can tell you that we're always honest.

So, no mysterious attacks since I've been under? I'd hate to sleep through a really important duty shift.

No. I'm beginning to think that might've been a one-off thing, for you know, "drama factor". Or whatever these folks on reality television call it.

Wouldn't surprise me. Everything about it is too convenient--just enough damage and injuries to be tense, not enough to damage your valuable actors.

Or the ships they're on. None of us took significant damage.
