At long last, Robert stood from his seat and came around the desk to have a good hard look at her. She was a little thing and certainly attractive, but he could see the disdain she had for him. His wife had that in her as well. Briefly he pondered if he might take control of the ship for himself, but as he worked out the logistics of that in his mind, he realized only part of that would appeal to him and that would be the fighting. There was no glory in fighting a woman, though. As for the rest...

He was tired with ruling. Let someone else carry that burden if they so desired it.
