Who: Nightingale, and you!
Broadcast: Video, fleetwide
Action: Bishop, if you need her
When: Now
[When the video starts, Nightingale can be seen, a large wooden staff leaned up on the wall next to her.]
I've been here for a few months now. Nearly half a year, even. And in that time, I've noticed that there's a ton of different worlds represented here, and most of them have different forms of magic. I'm a mage myself, so I find it pretty interesting.
So, I'd like to hear about all the forms of magic represented here. Especially if it's possible for you to teach it, or at least the basic principles and rules behind it. I'm trying to research if principles from one form can be applied to other forms from other worlds. Maybe combining magics from other worlds that aren't supposed to interact could be our way out of here.
[She levitates her staff from the wall to her hand, where it promptly vanishes- No point in discussing all of this magic without a demonstration, right?]
On a different note, I'm still working on a guide for new arrivals here. If anyone is willing to help give information that isn't contained in the guide I have, it would be a big help. Thanks.
[The feed ends there, but the video has a file attached to it that opens up to her introduction guide.]

[ He wants to be sure he covers what's most important to her. ]

I don't know enough about your experiences to be a judge of that.
The beginning, I guess.
I'll ask questions if I have them.

[ Ken tries to pick a good "beginning" and reminds himself she's interested in the world makeup, not his specific circumstances. So. Let's see. ]
The world I live in is closely tied to a parallel dimension, the Digital World. When crisis strikes in either of the worlds, certain children are selected to defend both worlds alongside their partner Digimon. I was one of them, though I'm still not sure what about me was noteworthy.
[ Should he describe Wormmon...? No. Irrelevant. ] My friends and I have the ability to open gates to the Digital World at will.

[She has many, many other questions, but she'll wait on those until the end. For now, the only explanations she'll ask for are the ones required to understand the story.]

The creatures who live in the Digital World. Are you familiar with computers?
Re: text
But as far as I know, I only ever used them for things like job searching and checking my college grades.

....That's one theory. There's much we don't know, but our bonds with the Digimon are strong. Strong enough to open those gates.

But have you spoken to a kid in weird blue spandex?

[ Ken knows at least one of his fellow Chosen Children is here. But as far as he knows, none of them, ah...
He's got nothing. ]
no subject
I don't know what ship he's on.
But he's a kid in blue spandex who says he's an AI.
Something called a 'NetNavi'.
It sounds like you two might want to compare notes.

Did you have other questions?
no subject
Are other worlds tied to those two, or is it just another area in your own home world?
It doesn't sound the same as places like this, that pull people from all sorts of worlds.

The Digital World possesses similar powers.

Those sound... weird.
