steve's luck with things that fly is nonexistent, really.
Who: Crew of the Bloodsport, anyone who'd drop by!
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Anywhere on the ship.
When: 12/13/15 specifically, but you can really pick and choose as much as you would like as far as dates go. Get your mingle on!
ps: as an aside, the bit of media that Steve received was a 'Star-Spangled Man' USO performance so if anyone wants to have seen that so hilarity can ensue, feel free.

SUNDAY; PREP
I see you weren't kidding. What's on the menu?

I was thinkin' tuna casserole. Ingredients don't have to be fresh to taste good. I'm not using the sink, you go ahead.

You need a hand? I mean, I'm only washing dishes because I've run out of things to do.

[He could always whip up another pie, but part of him is reluctant to. His Ma's recipe should really only be a once-in-a-while thing.]

If we've still got ice cream I've got some tinned peaches. It might do the trick. [The waystation didn't exactly sell the fresh stuff, but she'll take stewed when there's no other option.]
no subject
[Not that peaches and ice cream is any sort of hardship in and of itself, but the crust would add a nice contrast.]

Sure. Should have enough leftover to whip one up.
[He shuffles his operation sideways to give her room on the small counter.]
Bored?
[He says it with a faint note of sympathy. Hard not to climb the walls in such a small space. Especially so soon after the loss of a friend, he's guessing.]
no subject
A little. There's only so much time I can stand staring at star charts before my vision goes blurry. It's been a little more fun around the waystations, though.
[Shopping is therapy.]

[He isn't even considering shopping as a thing that could assuage boredom. Maybe there's a movie theatre or something he's just missed entirely. Also-- that glass Nami just washed is the perfect size to cut out biscuits, so he's going to snag it now that it's mostly dry and use it to press down into the dough he's flattened out. Neat little circular blob of dough are set off to one side so he can toss them on top of the casserole dish when he's done.]

[She grins faintly, an edge to it, but then she shrugs, digging around for ingredients herself.] But I like shopping. And I'd been wearing the same white shirt for nearly a year. It's been to hell and back, and a girl likes a bit of variety in her wardrobe.
no subject
A year? How'd that happen?

It practically got torn down to pieces in my stay there. Makeshift bandages and things like that. [Which isn't the greatest memory, but she only smiles a little wryly.] I was kind of amused when I turned up here and it was back in pristine condition.

It does cast her in a new light. Not that he'd had any cause to doubt her skills or experience before, but-- well. Shared life experience.]
This place just loves its irony.
[His tone is equally replete with it. He even rolls his eyes (however faintly).]
Well, if you ever need a guy to carry your bags...
no subject
What about you? Is this the first time you've turned up in a place like this?
no subject
Somewhere completely unfamiliar, where it seems the whole world's gone crazy around me? No. Not the first time.
no subject
Gets old after a while, doesn't it?
no subject
[He presses out the last of the biscuits, rolls the remaining dough back into a ball so he can flatten it out and repeat the process with what little is left.]
You think Atroma's going to send everybody home once they've had their fun?
no subject
So either we all go back, or I'm the one that wins the popularity contest. And I doubt that part. [She's not even trying.]
no subject
Oh, I don't know. I think you've got a shot.
