Who: Everybody!
Broadcast: Nope
Action: Down on the yucky moon
When: Today!

[ Maybe residents of the Fleet's current pit stop have started to notice their current crop of visitors/resuppliers are a more unusual and diverse group than usual. Maybe they're hoping to stave off the existential ennui that comes from living in such a difficult clime. Or maybe they just really, really want to make a lot of money gambling.

Either way, an announcement has gone out for a Great Moon Race! It looks like a footrace, for the most part, though people who can fly or jump impressively under their own steam are welcome. Racers begin in the town and then follow a track out up one of the closer craggy mountaintops, so that the track tests not only speed, but also endurance (and how long you can stand being sweaty in a gas mask). Several of the moon's residents also don't seem inclined to play fair and will pick fights in the middle of the racecourse with anyone they see as blocking their path; this is considered a normal obstacle on the course.

If this doesn't sound like your cup of tea, no worries! There's plenty to do as a spectator, from cheering on your shipmate to betting on racers to sampling some of the raceside food stands that have sprung up out of nowhere.

If you're up to such a challenge, however, what are you waiting for? On your mark, get set, GO!

Who: Varric and you!
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Varric's bar on the Iskaulit
When: Now

[Like Varric's promotional videos before, the feed does a slow pan of the dive that he owns. And then it centers on the bartop, which has a line of wine bottles on it. The glass is black and so are the labels aside from the gold skull and the words VELENO VENO.

Varric pulls up a seat in front of the camera. He's dressed in his best-- a black and gold embroidered silk shirt, buttoned only halfway because of course. And he's wearing a grin, of course.]

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Varric Tethras, owner and proprietor of the Space Bar, and today... I've got something new and exciting for you. [He grabs a bottle of wine and pops it open with a flourish. Then he pours it into a glass. It's black with just a little dark purple in the light.] In Tevinter, wine made from venomous snakes is considered sacred. Well, as sacred as anything in Tevinter can be. It's long been associated with virility, purity of body, and curing difficult ailments. But don't worry, this is animal-free. Snakes are disgusting. Don't eat snakes. Also, Tevinter sucks.

Instead of drinking reptiles, consider this wine: beautiful and deadly, like that woman sitting at the corner of the bar that you're scared to talk to. The wine has notes of persimmon and apple-- as well as a dash of water from the toxic moon.

[Varric's grin broadens. He lifts the glass to his lips and takes a sip.]

Mmm. We only made a few cases, so get it while you can. 500 credits for a bottle with a thrill.

[And the feed ends.]

Who: Clay Terran + You
Broadcast: Yeh
Action: On the Vanquish
When: April 11th

[Clay had been counting down the days, and now, today's the day. Just a year ago, he arrived with his former captain, Sheena, and set out on the journey of a lifetime. It feels - It's weird, it's like a mix of gratitude and exasperation, happiness and sadness. It's a whole jumble of feelings that he's been trying to sort through ever since he realized the date was closing in.

He thinks about contacting a few people about it, and even opens up his communicator and tries to do so, but he notices that he can't reach one person in particular. And when he sees why... Well. Okay then. It's fine, it's just - It's fine. He's fine.

But... he might as well tell the network, for the few that did know the guy. When he turns on the video, Clay's sitting in his room, papers taped up to the wall of various notes and sketches of what they've come across so far.]

So, uh... it looks like Orion went home.

[He purses his lips a bit and frowns at the thought of him going back there, now that he's said it out loud. He knows Orion's not... exactly a good person, and he's done some terrible things and has a horrible past. And he's going back to that, probably not remembering any of the progress he's made, and he might not even be Orion again if he comes back -

Right. Right. On to other things. He's fine.]

It's also been a year since I showed up here. [And here he finally smiles a bit, though it grows as he keeps talking.] I was so enthralled - Space is my whole life, and it's always been my dream to go. So to come here and wake up to a galaxy full of stars... I didn't know why I was pulled into Atroma's gravity, and I still don't know. But when I first came here, all I wanted to do was find evidence of all the answers to the questions my Earth has to send it back to them. But now? It's about way more than that. It's about everyone's homes, every planet and moon we come across. I want to seek out the truth of what's out there for the betterment of everyone out there, not just my planet. It... took me a while to come to that.

[And he's proud of it, and it shows. And now that he's on the subject:]

I wrote down all my notes about this moon. The file's going to be attached to this broadcast, if anyone wants to take a look at it. And if you've found out anything else about the moon, could you let me know about it? Thanks in advance!

[He waves to the camera, then turns it off while he uploads the file.]

File attached. )
