Who: Everybody!
Broadcast: Nope
Action: Down on the yucky moon
When: Today!
[ Maybe residents of the Fleet's current pit stop have started to notice their current crop of visitors/resuppliers are a more unusual and diverse group than usual. Maybe they're hoping to stave off the existential ennui that comes from living in such a difficult clime. Or maybe they just really, really want to make a lot of money gambling.
Either way, an announcement has gone out for a Great Moon Race! It looks like a footrace, for the most part, though people who can fly or jump impressively under their own steam are welcome. Racers begin in the town and then follow a track out up one of the closer craggy mountaintops, so that the track tests not only speed, but also endurance (and how long you can stand being sweaty in a gas mask). Several of the moon's residents also don't seem inclined to play fair and will pick fights in the middle of the racecourse with anyone they see as blocking their path; this is considered a normal obstacle on the course.
If this doesn't sound like your cup of tea, no worries! There's plenty to do as a spectator, from cheering on your shipmate to betting on racers to sampling some of the raceside food stands that have sprung up out of nowhere.
If you're up to such a challenge, however, what are you waiting for? On your mark, get set, GO!
