Who: Mantis and all
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Planetside
When: Today

How odd. How strange. How utterly devoid of anything. Mantis can't call himself one to be paranoid without reason, hence his wariness of going to the planet in the first place. It was only after seeing others interact with the town without dying that he felt any safety in visiting on his own. All the little robots, the sheer sense of emptiness in the presence of signs people had clearly existed... He sincerely hoped that whatever drove away the locals was long gone.

Thus, the feed opens up to the gentle plink plink clatter of him at the ring toss game along the theme park's midway. It was a different kind of repetitive task that he could sink his thoughts into and some of the prizes looked interesting enough he'd be willing to keep one in his little room. All the same, he does look on edge, twisting his head to look over his shoulder.

"Am I the only one thinking this place has the look and feel of life that used to be? It isn't a dead planet by any means, but higher lifeforms like us don't exist for miles. I'd have sensed something by now."

Plink. Plink. Clatter clatter clatter...

"Oh. I won one of the smaller prizes." He tosses a ring up into the air where it hovers and starts to orbit his hand. "Not that there is anyone to enforce the rules. Instinct tells me that I shouldn't stay long in this place. It looks safe. Probably is safe. But it's not...safe. Perhaps that might make more sense to someone else here."

[Action] Out and Exploring
[It was all too good to be true.

Everything about this planet was setting Remy’s sense on high, constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop and waiting for something to happen. But he wasn’t going to sit around for it to happen, he was going to go find it. He needed information before he could get even close to relaxing. After checking out the main strip of the town, unable to find anything remotely nefarious, bugs or cameras or anything, he starts working his way outwards.

Grabbing a less than cool scooter (really, why couldn’t there be a motorbike in this place?), though picking out at least a color he liked, Remy started exploring the outskirts. Going between houses and stopping off at them now and then to investigate.]

[Video/Action] Stake(Steak)out
[Finding no satisfying answers with the houses and a way to explain the lack of any life in the city, Remy decides he wants to try and tackle another issue: how this place was ‘respawning’ everything. And that called for a stakeout.

Which he hated.

He always hated stakeouts. They were boring. You had to concentrate rather than try and past time, and for someone who had to move, had to talk, had to find a way to occupy his time, they were always tough for Remy.

There were two ways he was trying to counter this: first, he had set up his com to record everything, settling it on the counter to try and cover as much of the store as possible, both to review in case he felt he missed something and to offer to anyone who may be staying up as stupidly late as he was. The second was he was occupying himself to keep from getting bored. Having settled on one of the food shops for this experiment, Remy made the most of the food within it. Though this resulted not only in being able to snack as he wanted, but also making forts and houses out of canned food, or deciding to experiment with different food items, as much as he could without having any way to cook stuff up at least.

Anyone is welcome to join him, either in person, or over the feed he is putting out for those who want to see it from the comfort of their beds or ships.]

[Action/Video] Stocking up
[Suspicious or not, Remy is not going to miss out on the chance with all the options this planet had. He worked on restocking his wardrobe, grabbing whatever caught his eye and that matched to his typical fashion choices, as well as a few pieces for his cats and some other entertainment items. Books, tools, whatever and everything he wanted from the planet.

And of course, he was making the most of the food, even if they all do have that slight citrus taste... It was always amazing to get access to perishables, stuff that wouldn’t last between stops or planets that didn’t stock what he wanted. And there was a good way to help counter that: preserving. Claiming one of the kitchens close to a food store, Remy spends a chunk of time working on making up items that can be stored on the ships or at the restaurants on the Iskaulit, as well as offering it to said people if they wanted.]

Crowley, Jarvis, [He addresses over the com, putting it out there even if they aren’t listening. He’s set up the com so he can speak to it despite his hands being busy cleaning up something that pretty much is a tomato in taste and appearance.] Am makin’ up some stuff that might work for ya’ll places, if ya want them will drop off a bunch when I get them back to the ships. ‘nd know ya will want them Nami. I got a few new ideas to put on the menu after we leave this place, just will have to make room in storage for everything, but should last us a good time. Never know when goin’ to get produce like this ‘gain.
