Who: Remy and open.
Broadcast: Fleetwide.
Action: Planetside.
When: During planet stay.
[Action] Out and Exploring
[It was all too good to be true.
Everything about this planet was setting Remy’s sense on high, constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop and waiting for something to happen. But he wasn’t going to sit around for it to happen, he was going to go find it. He needed information before he could get even close to relaxing. After checking out the main strip of the town, unable to find anything remotely nefarious, bugs or cameras or anything, he starts working his way outwards.
Grabbing a less than cool scooter (really, why couldn’t there be a motorbike in this place?), though picking out at least a color he liked, Remy started exploring the outskirts. Going between houses and stopping off at them now and then to investigate.]
[Video/Action] Stake(Steak)out
[Finding no satisfying answers with the houses and a way to explain the lack of any life in the city, Remy decides he wants to try and tackle another issue: how this place was ‘respawning’ everything. And that called for a stakeout.
Which he hated.
He always hated stakeouts. They were boring. You had to concentrate rather than try and past time, and for someone who had to move, had to talk, had to find a way to occupy his time, they were always tough for Remy.
There were two ways he was trying to counter this: first, he had set up his com to record everything, settling it on the counter to try and cover as much of the store as possible, both to review in case he felt he missed something and to offer to anyone who may be staying up as stupidly late as he was. The second was he was occupying himself to keep from getting bored. Having settled on one of the food shops for this experiment, Remy made the most of the food within it. Though this resulted not only in being able to snack as he wanted, but also making forts and houses out of canned food, or deciding to experiment with different food items, as much as he could without having any way to cook stuff up at least.
Anyone is welcome to join him, either in person, or over the feed he is putting out for those who want to see it from the comfort of their beds or ships.]
[Action/Video] Stocking up
[Suspicious or not, Remy is not going to miss out on the chance with all the options this planet had. He worked on restocking his wardrobe, grabbing whatever caught his eye and that matched to his typical fashion choices, as well as a few pieces for his cats and some other entertainment items. Books, tools, whatever and everything he wanted from the planet.
And of course, he was making the most of the food, even if they all do have that slight citrus taste... It was always amazing to get access to perishables, stuff that wouldn’t last between stops or planets that didn’t stock what he wanted. And there was a good way to help counter that: preserving. Claiming one of the kitchens close to a food store, Remy spends a chunk of time working on making up items that can be stored on the ships or at the restaurants on the Iskaulit, as well as offering it to said people if they wanted.]
Crowley, Jarvis, [He addresses over the com, putting it out there even if they aren’t listening. He’s set up the com so he can speak to it despite his hands being busy cleaning up something that pretty much is a tomato in taste and appearance.] Am makin’ up some stuff that might work for ya’ll places, if ya want them will drop off a bunch when I get them back to the ships. ‘nd know ya will want them Nami. I got a few new ideas to put on the menu after we leave this place, just will have to make room in storage for everything, but should last us a good time. Never know when goin’ to get produce like this ‘gain.

[No, really. He wouldn't. ]
Video
Any particular requests?
Video
Anything that looks like it wouldn't really fill a plate. Got to keep my portions tiny and snooty, after all.
Video
'nd I know, 've been to ya place before. What kinda storage do ya'll have there? 'cause be thinkin', small portions just mean ya'll have longer stocks of stuff than the other places.
Video
[He flashes a grin. ]
Well, normally I would say my storage space is infinite, but alas- my powers aren't what they used to be here, so I'll have to say it's the size of my storage room.
[Which he hasn't measured- because that's the sort of thing he leaves for Tyrion. Actual work.]
Video
Provided this ain't all some big test or trap 'nd turns out there's like, I donno, 'nvisible people or ghosts or something watchin' us.
Video
I'd put good money on invisible ghosts at this point, in all honesty. That or zombies.
Video
Then 'gain, all depends on what type of zombie, if they after brains or not. [As fun as it was to joke about it... it wasn't something Remy wanted to go through. The likelihood of there actually being zombies out there and that the Fleet would land in such a place, was a far higher chance than he would like.]
Video
[If he could have nightmares, he'd have them about necromorphs. ]
They could just be...generally people-eating zombies, who knows.

'ssume ya've already gone lookin' for the alcohol stocks here.
no subject
[Eventually. They'd have to be here at least another year, but...]

As for that citrus taste, donno if everyone will pick it up, [As a foodie, Remy does, but even then it was subtle.] 'nd we can either play it up as part of the taste, or try 'nd mask it with something mixed in it.
no subject
Bit of both, I think. The liquor itself is some nice stuff, so we can give the best of both worlds. I'll make sure to pick up some soil from the plants store I found, too.

You had much experience in mixing alcohol like that?
no subject
Only personal experience, but haven't found it that much different from cookin', matchin' up flavors 'nd the like. Though willin' to take some tutorin' if it's offered.

scooter time
He walked along the streets of the town warily, the quite more unnerving that a crowd of strangers. Of course, the lack of people made it all the easier to spot Remy heading his way on... well, his stead as it were. Smirking, he stepped to the side of the road and held out his thumb in the universal sign for hitch hiking. ]
beep beep!
Making his way to the road side, Remy stopped just short of Jim, rest a foot against the road.] Didn' ya mère ever warn ya 'bout takin' rides from weird men? [Unable to help a grin and not bothering to try to keep a straight face, his sunglasses in place to protect against wind and sun but not bothering with a helmet or his normal coat. He really wasn't going fast enough on this thing to require normal bike protection.]
Re: beep beep!
Well, you know me. I just can't resist a bad boy.
[ He grinned back and walked over, leaning in and pressing his lips to Remy's in a soft hello kiss. He moved around behind him to throw his leg over the scooter and wrap his arms around Remy's stomach, nestling his chin into his shoulder. ]
So, where you taking me?
no subject
[As for that question, Remy tone turned a little more serious as he concentrated on the road in front of them. There may not be much, if any, traffic, but he still had no desire to crash due to a poorly placed wheel on a curb or the like.] This place just be... too clean for me, so goin' searchin' to see if I can find 'ny dirt. Thought be worth checkin' out the houses further from the city, see if something hidin' out of plain sight.
no subject
I'm surprised there's something like a gasp powered machine. I would think it would be solar or anti-grav if they managed to come all the way out here.
[ He kept his grip, shifting his weight with Remy as they rode. It had been awhile since he had been on a vehicle like this. He had to say he honestly missed it. Still didn't regret giving up his bike back home, but the nostalgia was real. ]
There has to be something. The animals that wander around outside aren't natural, that much is for sure. So how did they get here?
no subject
It just... all too good to be true. Access to basically whatever we need with no cost? [He gave a shake of his head, having turned so he could speak over his shoulder as he drove.] Don't add up. Even if it all automated, still gotta be set up for someone at some point, even if it all abandoned now. This was all created for some group, so either they left planet or they moved on somewhere else on the planet. Or something got to them.
'nd those animals, [Which Remy had avoided, not interested in going hiking even without the weird wildlife being around.] Really hopin' it ain't caused by radiation or 'nything. I don't think we would be dropped off on a planet that would end up hurtin' us, but rather know if we should be worried 'bout that.
no subject
Hah, it's easier than you might think. I find gas powered things like this harder - they respond slower, not as smooth.
[ Kirk listened and nodded against Remy's back. ]
It's got my hairs up, if you know what I mean. If they did just up a leave, I have to wonder if it was lack of supplies, or something else how here that made them go. If not, then where did they go? If something was killing them, where are the graves? Or if it was more instantaneous, where are the bones? The signs of decay? We can't even judge how long they've been gone from this place because of the constant reconstructing that happens.
It's a lot of damn questions, like usual, and not nearly enough answers.
no subject
There may not be graves if it happened all at once. A mass death situation. [It... wasn't a nice concept, but it was a possibility.] Dying all too fast to bury the dead or whatever death custom they do here, 'nd those lil' robots come 'long 'nd clean it all up.
Or maybe they got out of here 'nd ran. Maybe they somewhere else on the planet 'nd we just haven't found them. [A sigh as Remy continued to voice his thoughts, which was so easy to do with Jim. It was so nice to just be able to talk so openly with someone.] Or maybe they got the hell off this planet.
