one ✘ the cold never bothered me anyway
Who: Hans & you!
Broadcast: Video
Action: N
When: December 21
[ Feeling a little cooped up on his ship, Hans had anticipated his first planetary visit. Needless to say, when he finds himself coming down with an illness after one day on the icy rock, he's more than a bit put-out.
He had the usual cold symptoms. Shouldn't it be gone by now? And yet, it isn't, and he's had just about enough of sniffling like a child and sleeping away time better spent elsewhere.
As such, it's time to reach out - and, perhaps, score a few sympathy points in the meantime. In spite of his red nose and congested voice, Hans doesn't miss the opportunity to flash a smile at the screen. ]
Pardon me for the interruption. I know everyone's quite preoccupied with visiting this delightful planet [ because it's so charming, it's snow and ice, he loves snow and ice, except for the part where he hates it ] but I've been feeling under the weather lately, and I was hoping someone could suggest a remedy. The usual tricks just don't seem to quite cut it.
[ It's not as if he's been reckless with his health! He has been trying to get better, resting, eating and drinking well, keeping warming, and yet? ] Anything you can offer in the way of advice, or even medical aid would be much appreciated.
If we haven't formally met, my apologies. My name is Hans. Thank you so much for your time.

[She's a helper!]
sure, toph, sure...
Hm - that's what I've been trying to do since I caught it. Unfortunately, that method doesn't seem to quite be working. All the same, I appreciate the sentiment.
[ Or not at all, really. ]
it is!!
[Sigh.]

I thought there might be some suggestions from the fleet that I hadn't tried yet. I don't suppose you have anything else to add to the pile, do you?

[ what's up fellow useless prince
also he's on team toph here he's just saying it slightly nicer ok ]

Is that so? I suppose I've had a good run. I'd hoped to go out in a better way than by incurable head cold, however.
[ if you can't beat 'em, join 'em or something ]
[Video]
If you can be done in by a cold, then you might want to find a new ship.
We have higher standards.
[Video]
The idea is not to be done in by it. Believe me, I want nothing more than to meet the high standards of the Blue Fish.
[ He is so very intimidated by you all. ]

[ A firm nod! ]
Peppermint tea, or mint candy. It's temporary, but it will help clear your breathing for a little while, so if you can stand to keep it up until the cold goes away, it should help. [ She taps her chin with a finger, thinking some more. ] There's also ginger, if you feel nauseous?
video;
Fortunately, I haven't had a problem with nausea. The lengths this head cold is going to to keep me bed ridden more than compensates for that. I may just try the mint tea, though.

[ They totally have hot springs on icy planets right? They should. It only makes sense.

[ HE HAS HIS DOUBTS. But who knows. There's certainly a lot her still doesn't understand about other planets, implant or no implant. ]
video;
[Stefan might've been a paranoid panda who stocked up for basic illnesses.... only to have remarkably healthy patients. So there's plenty, in the event the Blue Fish might be running low.]
If you drink tea, try adding some honey. That usually helps my throat.
video;
[ Perish the thought. ]
A little honeyed tea does sound nice, however. I'll have to check the kitchen and see if we have any.
video;
You might. We haven't had access to honey in a while, but if your ship stocked up a couple of planets ago - there should still be some left over.
[He thinks. Stefan doesn't drink tea with sweetener, so he's not certain how long honey would typically last.] If not, there's some on my ship. I'm Stefan, by the way. I'm the Paisley's medic.

It feels like quite a few people have already gotten sick.

From what I've heard, we've already visited the one with all the tropical islands.
[it could only get worse from here]
