( Ella's keeping her voice low. Something whines near her communicator. She make a hushing sound in return before continuing to talk. )

I really hope it is... uh, if anyone's out there, do you have any... pointers... on how to escape a guard deer when you've been treed in an ice sculpture with a fox?

( Problems where children demand your assistance in rescuing their lost fox. Problems when you have to listen to direct orders. There' a loud THWACK and Ella tucks the fox in closer to her abdomen and pull her legs up while she hauls herself up another branch of the odd sculpture. There's one heck of a big moose huffing and circling this ice-carving tree-bird-angel she's climbed into. )

( Once the moose is moving more slowly, Ella adjusts her hold on the resigned fox. It's chance timing that has her slip and go falling out of the sculpture and landing in the trampled snow with the fox crying out just as she does. She's not sure how she managed to keep the furry critter in arms, but she doesn't bother spending time mulling it over, instead regaining her feet and bolting for the fence.

Once out away from the moose, Ella has a struggling fox in arms as she hesitates in following the footprints leading out after Henry.

Then steels herself, because what the hay. )

( Ella can empathize. Open air and a sky above her head is far more natural than living constantly confined by the environment, not just commands. )

( She looks down at the fox. He looks back up at her. )

Trying to get this furry escape artist back to his little boy. Foxes are apparently common pets in this kingdom - er. On this planet. In this world

( Look there's a lot of wording to adapt to around here still. )

Ahaha, wow~ You sure are helpful!

[ He doesn't sound like he means it in a bad way, though. ]

His owner was very upset. Not to mention persuasive.

( Plus like children do at times, he'd demanded assistance, and she'd flirted around helping out before deciding okay, she can, just her way. )

( As for petting, she tries to shrug, fails given her arm load of fox, and settles on: )

I won't make promises about him nipping, but you can if you want.

And he will totally fall silent in favor of petting the fox. Wow. He can actually be quiet. ]

( The fox bears up under it, mostly looking disgruntled and impatient to be off on his business of mischief again. Ella lets Henry pet the fox before suggesting they move along - she doesn't really mind if he keeps this up. It's distracting her otherwise squirming armful. )

We should find his owner again so he can get home. Are you... fond of animals?

( When not slaughtering them for dark magic??? )

( Domesticated? About an arm full? The kind he can pet? Half wild animals? Furry beasts? There's too many options, she has no idea which he means in particular, or how he can both love animals... and yet have no qualms in killing them for magic??? )

My parents abandoned me, so I was mostly raised by a wolf that lived in the nearby forest~
