002 // action for bishop
Who: Haruka Tenoh & crewmates
Broadcast: n/a
Action: Aboard the Bishop
When: This week (after getting her doll from Cheese)
[ The ship has a more festive air in it this time of year. Haruka wouldn't have been in a celebrating mood anyway, but if pressed to admit it, she supposes there's a resilience to be found in such gestures during captivity.
She is not being pressed, however. At least not externally. Internally, however....
If you're minding your own business walking through the halls of the Bishop, you may hear a mighty sneeze. If you check the pilot's chair, you may find someone dozed off in it, a slight flush on her face.
And if you're out in the hallways on one particular night, you may hear a thump and find Haruka Tenoh sprawled, feverish and sniffly, on the floor. She's spent a few hours pretty much every day they've visited this star system down planet-side. That's enough exposure to the pathogens to overcome even her immune system.
Careful when approaching. She's sweaty and cranky. "Barely conscious" may be the most preferable state in which to find her.... ]

Here's a familiar set of footsteps. If you look up from the floor, Michiru's there with her arms crossed, looking almost exasperated.]
Haruka.

[ The horse made, like, little plushies. They're cute. Haruka put hers where she was supposed to and everything, since if ever anything had happened where it was "the thought that counted", this is probably it. She had even done so while fending off a terribly sore throat!
Then things had escalated, and here you have her. But she's fine. She can get up herself.
Eventually. ]

I'd enjoy it more if you stayed in bed.
[there isn't even a point to mentioning how the cold floor would make you sick(er)]
no subject
This is a bad idea. Her fingers drop just before they brush Michiru's as her head swims and she finds herself lying flat on the floor again, breathing through her mouth. The stuffiness is bad enough, but the lightheadedness is the biggest pain.
The wind does not appreciate feeling full of nothing but air. ]
no subject
And she's kneeling next to you, hand on your shoulder.] Try and sit up.
[one step at a time]
no subject
Except once she gets propped up she might not want to move. This is tiring. Can she stay here? ]
no subject
Michiru waits patiently, hoping you'll look less dizzy before she tries to pull you to your feet.]
no subject
...hopefully they're near the wall. (She'll do her best to catch herself either way, though.) ]
no subject
It's a bit precarious at the moment, and she's not sure how long she can maintain this.]
Haruka.
[a quick glance to the side. At least the wall is within reaching distance.]
no subject
Blearily, she looks down the hallway. ] My room is closer.
[ Whether this is actually true or not may be up for debate. But Haruka doesn't want to turn Michiru's area into a sickroom. It's the least she can do for the imposition she's making. ]

Frowning, he kneels down beside her, presses the back of his hand to her forehead.]
You have a fever.
no subject
[ Evidence points to the contrary, but hey. It's a temporary setback? ]
no subject
[He swats at her swatting him.]
no subject
....someone new. Clearly she isn't spending enough time around and about on the ship. ] D'you always worry about everyone?
[ Weirdly enough, she doesn't sound snippy. Just tired. ]
no subject
With ferocity:]
Yes. Absolutely everyone.
[He takes his hand away after a few moments, examining her critically.]
Without exception.
no subject
[ Not her most brilliant observation, but this also isn't her most brilliant day. ]
no subject
[He frowns, but it's out of concern more than anything else.]
Can you stand? We need to get you to a bed.
no subject
Up she comes. It's not the steadiest she's ever been, but she makes it to her feet without falling back over. ] The therapist's office is close.
[ Though she'll have to make up the imposition to the doctor later. Somehow. ]
no subject
[He hasn't stopped frowning; if anything, his long eyebrows furrow even more intensely as they go along. He considers propping her up with some levitation, but he can't tell if she'd be agreeable, so he refrains.]

but he also knows how hard it can be to catch sleep when you're feeling bad. so he'll just perch nearby and wait for her to wake of her own accord. ]
no subject
Literally. Her head has begun to dip. Now her shoulders. Now her head some more.
If this keeps up, she may be in danger of falling out of the chair. ]
no subject
unfortunately, this is haruka, and for some reason? tadashi has the feeling he might lose a limb if he even thinks about trying. so he stands up, clearing his throat softly and placing his hand - very briefly - onto her shoulder, just in an attempt to gently wake her. his voice is soft when he speaks, as if trying to make sure he doesn't startle her by accident. ]
Hey. C'mon, this is no place to nap.
no subject
[ The weak attempt at a smirk on her face makes this statement not quite defiance. And probably also a sign that yes, she's feverish. ]
no subject
[ he gives her an apologetic half-smile to answer her grin. ]
You should be resting somewhere you can actually be comfortable.
no subject
Still, Haruka's head lolls to the side, and she appears to be thinking about it. She'd rather not sleep in public... ]
