[Cole holds her close, long fingers carefully brushing through her hair.]

You don't have to. But you're welcome, if you'd like to come and live with us.

[princessia]

Maybe.

[ She's already leaning towards transferring, to bring herself closer to the family she has left, once she feels enough energy to bring herself to make the request. Aside from getting up for meals and sleeping, she has lack of interest in doing anything a little productive.

She huddles close, burying her face on him. ]

I miss Cullen. [ Letting his name slip for a moment, then to his family title. ] I miss my Daddy...

[Cole knows she does, even if the grief isn't one he can understand. He has never loved anyone or anything, for all that he cares about so much.]

When the time comes for you to leave, you'll be with him.

[He wants it to be true, if nothing else.]

[princessia]

...I hope so.

[ One of the gifts she gave to him, a letter, disappeared along with him. Maybe it went back with him, to Thedas. Maybe it's possible for her too. ]

I liked having a family. Now it's all broken.

[ Everything feels different now. ]

[Again, Cole knows nothing about a family. Cole's family was nothing a family should be. And this family, it's not quite that to him.]

I'm sorry. I can't make this better. You have Jove and I'm still here.

[princessia]

[ She makes herself comfortable, resting in Cole's arms. With her stuffed animal in her arms, she can't give him much of a hug in return. She hasn't thought about holding a doll in months. The old habit is returning after Cullen left.

Jove and Cole are still here. She's glad for that at least. She dreads the day they might have to leave her too, like Cullen. Thinking about it, she lets out a quiet gasp and another small sob. ]

[Cole doesn't know how to comfort her. He had been scared of this happening, months ago, and now it has and he wants it to be something they can change, but they can't.

He hopes Jove's Cole will do his best for Elize when she gets there.

He rocks her back and forth and hums a soft tune that he heard in the Courtyard of Skyhold.]

[princessia]

[ The humming makes her sobbing neither more or less. It's taking longer for her to calm herself and control her tears, to accept the sad truth. She keeps her face buried into his chest, shuddering slightly and continuing to whimper. ]

[The thing about Cole is, he won't offer platitudes or empty words. He will offer comfort, he will be there with and for her, and he has near infinite patience for this sort of thing.

He sits and holds her and lets her cry it out. It's what she needs. And he has nowhere else to be.]

[princessia]

[ It takes her about a minute or two for her to ease up on her crying. A long two minutes is what it feels like. Crying it out has her drained until all she can return to are weak, small whimpers and sniffles.

Thinking about Cullen and the happy memories she had might be enough to tip her back into further tears. She had been crying on and off throughout the day. She does feel better though, at least for the time being. ]

[Cole still sits and hums and waits and pets her softly and waits.

When he stops sobbing, when she's worn out from it and ready to talk, he tucks her hair behind her ear.]

You're welcome?

Do you want some water?

[princessia]

[ She gives a wordless nod and slowly pries herself away from him. Standing, she holds her stuffed animal with one arm and holds her other hand out to Cole. She wants to head to the kitchen together. ]

[He bends and picks her up instead. His strength is a little too much for his frame at times, but right now, he's almost got a glow with the energies of helping, caring, sharing.

He'll carry her on one body hip to the kitchen if she'll let him.]

[princessia]

[ It gives her a brief start when he lifts her up. She'd normally complain that she can walk on her own, but she doesn't really have it in her to squirm or protest against being carried. ]

[Cole keeps her close while he walks, like he's hugging her while they move.

He will have to put her down in the kitchen to get her drink though.]
