[ a bobbing -- and grateful -- curtsy. sansa doesn't care for all this hand-shaking everyone is trying to accomplish. it doesn't seem appropriate. or lady-like. ]

You have all been so kind to my brother. [ ... ] I don't know how to properly thank all of you.

[ino]

[ Ino waves her hand dismissively. ]

Hey, it's no trouble at all. He's a sweet kid, I don't think there's anyone around who doesn't like him. It's a lot easier for him to get around with what we have available here, too, so I think he's doing pretty well.

[ But she offers a smile, and moves to sit down across from where Sansa had been seated. Just so she doesn't feel like she has to keep standing! ]

How about you? Are you settling in all right? I know it can be ... [ She trails off, with a little laugh ] A lot to take in.

[steeledskin]

I'm well. [ a heavy pause. ] Thank you.

[ although she wouldn't describe herself as 'settled', sansa begins to adjust to how settled the rest of the fleet seems to be: comfortable, friendly, and kind. it doesn't seem appropriate, but she doesn't want to argue. ]

I have never been on ships like these before. But -- they are not all terrible.

[ino]

[ That pause tells Ino that she's probably not all that well, but -- Ino can't say she blames her, between how different this place is and the things she's heard about from Bran about their world. She doesn't press, though; that will hopefully come with time. ]

I'm not a huge fan myself. All the metal and stuff is kinda creepy, you know?

Have you been over to the garden on the Iskaulit? I've been trying to get some more stuff growing so there's a place to enjoy the nature most of us are used to, since you never know when we're going to stop next. Or where we're going to stop.

[ hesitation shows on her face. ]

I've not been to the Iskaulit. [ but there's a garden? ] Not even once. Is it another ship?

[ino]

Yeah, it's a part of the fleet, but it's a little different than this one. Long story short, we sort of accidentally ended up picking it up as an extra ship several months ago. Unlike the Blue Fish or my ship, the Iskaulit is sort of being set up as a place for lots of "common area" types of things. There's a library, I think there's a chapel ...? And a bar, that sort of thing.

Anyways, that's where the garden is! We've been collecting different types of plants from every place we stop. We have some lights that mimic the sun, and they help the plants stay growing. If you ever feel like helping plant or water some stuff, or if you just want to sit with the plants and relax, you're welcome to come by.

[ She smiles reassuringly at Sansa. Ino finds the garden a peaceful place to collect her thoughts and get away from the harsh and unforgiving ships; maybe Sansa will find it a similarly helpful place to destress. ]

I'd also be happy to give you a ride over there, if you're worried about taking the shuttle over yourself.

-- Do you grow trees there?

[ her question is honed and purposeful. this is no idle curiousity. ]

[ino]

[ She looks a little sheepish. ]

Well ... we're working on it? It's only been a few months, so everything we have is still relatively small. Most everything has come from seeds, or smaller plants we were able to easily move. But eventually there could be some nice trees, yeah!

[steeledskin]

[ she wears her disappointment well -- and wonders whether a godswood without a tree is still a godswood. after all, many southron castles didn't even bother with weirwoods. but she swallows this concern, and instead falls back upon girlish fancy: ]

There must at least be beautiful flowers, then.

[ino]

[ She's not sure why a tree is so important, but -- she does kinda feel bad that they don't have what she was apparently looking for. Not much that can be done about it just yet, though ... ]

There are definitely those. My family ran a flower shop back home, so I guess you could say I'm a little biased towards collecting those in particular.

[steeledskin]

[ -- everything stalls, for a moment, so she might ask: ] Your kingdom has shops only for flowers?

[ this surprises her. ]

[ino]

[ If this were a few years ago, she might have been thrown off by the use of "kingdom" -- Konoha is hardly run by a king, after all. But she gets what Sansa means, so she just answers the question. ]

Yep! There's plenty of occasions that people would need flowers for, like weddings or funerals or da -- er, courting someone ... you know, stuff like that! So we're the experts who grow all different kinds of flowers for different occasions and arrange them so they look nice, depending on what people want them for.

[steeledskin]

Has -- [ she swallows. her words are stilted, and difficult. ] Has Bran told you much of Winterfell?

[ and now, a sigh. ] It has beautiful glass gardens. Flowers grow even in when it's cold outside.

[ had. grew. ]

He told me a little. I heard about a blue rose that only grows there -- not from him, but actually from your sister.

[ She pauses, before -- well, she had better explain that one, huh? ]

I met her several years ago, in a different place like this one.

[steeledskin]

[ any mention of arya brings a pained frown to her face. sansa's chin lowered. ]

As did Ser Allen.

[ino]

Oh, did he talk to you about her?

[ She pauses, noting Sansa's reaction. ]

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you.

It's not your fault. [ she is quick to absolve her of any blame. ] Our siblings were split and scattered long before we came here.
