I'm afraid I've had to take on some of the cooking role here, now that Kairi's gone home, so you'll have to suffer through some of my rather dull dishes, but I'll be glad of the company.

I highly doubt your dishes could be 'dull', my friend. [ it's not as if - when she does eat - that she eats extravagantly at all. her normal meals are dull, where almost everything she has tried here is new and interesting. plus, her friend is making it, so how could it possibly be anything but delicious? logic. ]

So you serve as a healer and a chef now? Quite the impressive array of titles.

Oh, it’s nothing official. Katara takes up some of that responsibility as well, and several cooks from other ships help us out in exchange for crops or extra coffee for their own ships. There’s no way I could handle it all on my own. I don’t know how Kairi did it.

Perhaps she had a passion for it - such a thing can make even the most overwhelming tasks all the more enjoyable. [ a passion lioriley does not possess herself. never really had the need to cook extravagant meals back home. beverly is still better off than she is in that regard. ]
